If the vehicle is an manual gearbox, hold the clutch in until the engine has taken properly. If it is a manual rather start i neutral with the park brake on than in Park. Once the engine has started, let it idle for a minute or so before driving off slowly. Until the temperature gauge has at least reached the 1/4 mark, try keep engine revs below about 2500. All the while keep an eye on the temperature gauge, if it rises very sharply and the fan does not come on, there is a possibility that the radiator is frozen and the engine will boil and burst a hose. If the temperature does rise suddenly, stop and carefully feel if the radiator is still cold. If it is, shut off the engine and wait till the radiator has thawed. This will take a while but can be hastened by starting the engine for a few minutes to warm the engine compartment to help thaw the radiator. When water is circulating freely, you should see a sudden drop in temperature. Do not rev the engine too much, the incoming water will be ice cold and could crack something. This is not something that occurs often, especially if you try park the car where air cannot readily blow through the radiator overnight.

Why does it stumble during acceleration?

Start by ensuring routine maintenance is up to date. A stumble during acceleration could have several causes, one of which is worn or faulty spark plugs which should be taken care of during routine maintenance along with visual checks of wiring, connections and vacuum lines.

If this brings no results an obd scanner will have to be used to check for fault codes, live data and suchlike.

What does a cold start injector do 1991 mazda 929s

The manner of construction of cold start valve is essentially quite similar, if not absolutely, as that of any other regular fuel injector. The main positive difference is the fact that the injection time of the cold start valve is gauged at intervals of a second. This is completely unlike a regular injector which has an injection time tuned to intervals of milliseconds.

There is a fuel pressure regulator that has to be tested. If that tests OK, then have the injectors tested. The MAP sensor will tell the ECU to add extra fuel if it has failed.

It hesitate to start up in cold weather i have to give a pump of

There is a cold start valve srpay extra fuel at the start to assist the start in the cold weather. If it is not open during the start then this is why there is a problem. This valve is operated by an electric coil. Even checking the resistance reading, but the valve is still not opening due to being stuck. Power is only coming to the valve during the start and the temperature is cold reported by the coolant temperature sensor . If the coolant temperature sensor is bad reporting warm temperature then the valve will not open. The temp sensor is less expensive than the valve, so it is an economical way to tackle the sensor first. Good luck.

98 Dopdge Caravan won't start when temperature around freezing . When outside temperature rises one or two degrees it will start on first try

The coolant temperature sensor will report the engine temperature to ECM so it can send signal to open the cold start valve. If the sensor is not reporting correct temperature, the ECM won't tell the cold start valve to open for extra fuel to start hence the car is not start. Replace the coolant temperature sensor will take care of the symptom.

Power window switch

You will need a special tool to remove the door panel, get some extra plastic bolts while at the parts store, because they invariably break during removal, keep careful track of positions of screw and attaching hardware during disassembly. Carefuly rmove every screw that you can find some are hidden under caps that will have to be removed with a small screwdriver. then pull door panel until you feel where plastic inserts are and use special tool to pry door panel off, if the switch can be accessed the entire door panel may not need to be taken off, match the wires to the switch and remove and install.

smog pump or secondary injection pump works on cold starting to inject clean air into the exhaust pipe to help catalytic convertor to burn extra unburned fuel in exhaust gases and improve clean exhaust emissions then shuts off when catalyst reaches the right temp. so i guess your air pump is fine.
