Check the water level in the radiator and for any leaks on the radiator pipes. Check the condition of the thermostat and if there is rust inside the radiator. If so, replacements will be needed.

If the overheating is regular the cylinder head might warp so check the above quickly to ensure you don't need a top end (engine) rebuild. As a temporary measure you can add radweld to the radiator or an egg (if you're really stuck).

Benz c180 thermostat stuck how do I sort it out help pls?

Remove the thermostat and place it in a pot of boiling water. It should open up somewhere between 175 to 185 degrees. If it doesn't open then replace it with a new one.

Mercedes benz timing

Timing marks for any vehile, even a Mercedes, are on the harmonic balancer. The pullys that drive the belts is bolted to the crankshaft and that knotch needs to be marked with a white paint pen.Line it up with the timing tab on the block right there at the harmonic balancer.

When I switch on air conditioning or heating the engine strats to work irregularly and especially when I stay waiting at trafic lights in traffic jams in the city when it is hot.

Most likely the idle air control valve is faulty. But that's just a guess. Does it do the same thing when you turn the steering wheel at a stop. The IAC is suppose to open a little when a load is placed on the engine in order to add more fuel so the air/ fuel ratio stays efficient
