Thanks for the reply. I replaced the IAT connector, but it's still giving me the code.as far as code P0300 does that mean that the fuel injectors are failing?

Hello,
A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  1. Faulty spark plugs or wires
  2. Faulty coil (pack)
  3. Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  4. Faulty fuel injector(s)
  5. Burned exhaust valve
  6. Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  7. Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  8. Faulty camshaft position sensor
  9. Defective computer

  1. A code P0113 says IAT sensor circuit high voltage
  2. A code P0101 means not enough air is flowing across the MAF sensor. This could be an over clogged air filter. This could also mean a bad MAF sensor.
  3. At this point I have to suggest taking your vehicle to a Auto Technician because the code readers just give a brief overviews of the possibilities. There is so much that goes into the diagnose process to narrow the exact cause down. Only a trained Auto Technician can use a scanner in this manner. But what I listed above are the possibilities from the codes. Good luck to you.

Regards, Tony

The closed loop has to do with your emissions. Works with the ECM to control air, fuel mixture. The O2 sensors "sniff" the fuel level and send a signal the EGM to lean or rich the air fuel mixture. On band 1 you have a bad Catalyst in bank 1. You will need to inspect the O2 Sensors and sometimes replacing the Catalytic Converter is needed. Also you could have an Intake Manifold Gasket leak. What those numbers are telling you, for the most part, how rich or lean your mixture is from the different banks. Bank one is downstream and bank two is up towards the manifold.

Your welcome. Were the cap and rotor you just put on faulty then I assume?

Have you cleared the codes since replacing the parts? If so, are the codes coming back? Does the misfire still exist even after replacing the parts? You post is rather unclear on this.

Before you replace the injectors have them do an injector balance test. Normally wet weather does not effect fuel system. Sounds more like you have a crank or cam sensor acting up.

Hi, the 4.3 liters have an injection system on them that can leak and will show up as a misfire. it is common but elusive to find. you might consider taking the van to a repair shop to have the problem diagnosed and go on from there.

Check your catalitic converter, you might start with an oxygen sensor first. your local muffler shop can do a temp check on the converter for you, but you can replace the oxgen sensor your self pretty easy.
