Depending on the extent if the leaks - if it's a simple head gasket have head gasket replaced. It could be cracked head or block then it's going to be more of a job and expense. Id you doubt dealer have another shop look at it.

Oil leaking around turbo on 2000 jetta

If you are getting boost, your turbo is likely not blown. There is a banjo bolt connection for the turbo oil. If it has loosened, then it would be leaking oil on the outside of the turbo. A blown turbo leaks on the inside (I believe, though not positive).

I don't have a TDI, but have a VW 1.8T with a turbo I recently replaced.

There is really nothing to fix other than to replace the turbo. It is not a tough job (at least the 1.8T wasn't) though it took 11 hours to complete. So you should try to get the oil leak fixed (near too much heat to ignore) but should likely only need to replace if it's not providing boost, or making strange sounds.

Most likely place for oil into coolant is oil cooler, the aluminum box that mounts between the oil filter and a flange that comes off the block.

Using a lot of water 01 jetta 1.8t no visible signs of where water is leaking no white smoke from exhaust. no idea where the water is going.

Ok reservoir has a full line do not fill above that. If you do it will vent and siphon water out of the tank and become low.

VW jetta has a wierd smell that smell like melted crayons. What is this?

Never thought about the smell but yes oil dripping on the exhaust does smell like that. Check and see if you have an oil leak somewhere likely its getting on the exhaust. (dosen't need to be a lot to smell)

''2000 dodge grand caravan oil leak at crankcase how do i fix it''

How bad does it leak? Most cars eventually leak some. Adding oil now and then is cheaper than fixing a leak if its not too bad.

Black smoke from exhaust

i know for a fact that the oil is getting strait out in your exhaust system...

a common cause is a failiure of the pcv valve wich is located on the intake manifold.

to check her, just take it out of the manifold and shake it in your hand...
you should be able to hear a clicking sound out of it. if not it is done...

Most relays are located in the same box as the fuses. You have two fuse boxes. One inside the car, and one under the hood.

Cost to replace clutch in 2000 VW Jetta

from what is was told locally is that it would be around $800 - $1000 and can take just around a full day to do. it is not a quick job, so labor costs can be high and the price of parts play a big factor in it just because it is a vw.
