The first thing to check is the fusible link carrying power to the fuse box. I don't know exactly where it is in your model, but look for a molded-in splice in the wiring about 3" long made of smaller wire than the rest of the wire. If the insulation has a burned spot, that's a give-away, but the surest test is to check for voltage in the fuse box. There should be voltage on at least one terminal of each fuse. If the fusible link is blown, replace it with the same size wire as the original link, then try to figure out what over-loaded it.

Something in the signal lamp circuit obviously is your first target for follow-on troubleshooting. Inspect the wiring to the signal lamps (especially in the trunk). If you have had collision damage on any corner of the vehicle, look very carefully at the wiring. You are looking for cracked or cut insulation that may be shorting to metal. Also, inspect the cable going into the steering column for cuts

YOU LOST ALL POWER, COULD BE A LOOSE BATTERY CABLE OR ALTERNATOR SHORTED OUT.CHECK TO SEE IF BATTERY VOLTAGE IS 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY VOLTS REAL LOW, MORE LIKELY ALTERNATOR IS BAD.IF BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR OKAY,COULD HAVE SHORT OUT FUSE LINK

Ford diesel excusion A/C won't cool

Any performance testing re auto A/C requires consistant engine revs highway revs eg 1800 exit ramp eg idle stop start 800revs leading to much reduced A/C compressor speed and therefore performance output .Also all testing its desirable to close the bonnet to control design air flow through the engine bay .Also check under dash passenger side air flow pos a filter on return air duct or something sucked up into paper etc .good luck!

Was driving my 2005 Mazda 6 in the curve of an exit ramp and just at the end of the ramp just before being able to exit onto the highway, the car cut off. We tried to start it, but it wouldn't crank. ...

Hi,

This is likely to be electrical related.

Your vehicle's On-board diagnostic (OBDII) computer will have stored the applicable fault codes.

Have your computer scanned by your local Mazda dealership (or approved agent) for these codes, which will immediately identify the circuit/component causing this condition.

Cheers,

I own a 1991 Acura Legend... one morning I am driving to work and I am exiting off a ramp going 65 mph then I feel the car losing speed so, I pull over on the side of the highway, put the car in park, and...

Your alternator needs to be checked, if it goes bad the car will run of the battery but when the battery gets low the car will lose power and when the battery goes dead the car will just die and not restart. Did the engine even turn over when you tried to crank it if so its probably the alternator. I hope that helps you out!
