Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: my hyundia elantra check engine

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction,,, I couldn't find an 885 code number, But I think it has to do with the tranny also. The first thing I would do is check the fluid, then the fuses, other than tearing out the transmission there is not much you can do. I would go to a tranny shop, not the dealer. If you could find another car like yours, or buy another computer at the junk yard, try that, the TCM is mounted on the wall next to the driver, usually, not positive where yours is, check it out. Hope this helps.

I have 2006 hyundai elantra with a bad camshaft sensor. I have part on hand. Anything special I need to do besides swap out the part? Cam Shaft Location?

I assume you determined the diagnostic trouble code for the sensor was TRUE/VALIDATED?
If so, then there is NO reason to do anything else but 'swap out the part.' Your second question is somewhat puzzling... the cam shaft is on TOP of the engine - the sensor's location (standing on the passenger side of the vehicle with the hood open, is on the left side of the engine at approximately the 10 o'clock position of the cam.... the connector to it is at the 9 o'clock position.
