Hello
You can't program new keys at home after installing a completely new cylinder, you must have two one working keys to do the key programming procedure, To program the anti-theft system will now require you have the truck towed to the dealer. I am a Ford dealer technican and know this all to well. Below is the factory procedure for programming additional keys which only applies two working key. From the service manual:

To program a new Secure Lock ignition key yourself, you will need

two previously programmed Secure Lock keys (keys that already

operate your vehicle's engine). If two previously programmed

Secure Lock keys are not available (one or both of your original keys

were lost or stolen), you must bring your vehicle to your dealership to

have the spare Secure Lock key(s) programmed.

Procedure to program spare Secure Lock keys to your vehicle

New Secure Lock keys must have the correct mechanical key cut for

your vehicle.

Conventional (non-Secure Lock) keys cannot be programmed to your

vehicle.

You will need to have two previously programmed Secure Lock keys and

the new unprogrammed Secure Lock key readily accessible for timely

implementation of each step in the procedure. Please read and

understand the entire procedure before you begin.

1. Insert the first previously programmed Secure Lock key into the

ignition and turn the ignition from OFF to RUN (maintain ignition in

RUN for at least one second).

2. Turn ignition to OFF and remove the first Secure Lock key from the

ignition.

3. Within five seconds of turning the ignition to OFF, insert the second

previously programmed Secure Lock key into the ignition and turn the

ignition from OFF to RUN (maintain ignition in RUN for at least one

second but no more than 5 seconds).

4. Turn the ignition to OFF and remove the second Secure Lock key

from the ignition.

5. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition to OFF, insert the

unprogrammed Secure Lock key (new key/valet key) into the ignition

and turn the ignition from OFF to RUN (maintain ignition in RUN for at

least one second). This step will program your new Secure Lock key.

6. To program additional Secure Lock key(s), repeat this procedure from

step 1.

If the programming procedure was successful, the new Secure Lock

key(s) will start the vehicle's engine. The theft indicator (located on the

instrument panel) will light for three seconds and then go out.

If the programming procedure was not successful, the new Secure Lock

key(s) will not operate the vehicle's engine. The theft indicator will flash

on and off. Wait at least one minute and then repeat the procedure from

step 1. If failure repeats, bring your vehicle to your dealership to have

the spare Secure Lock key(s) programmed.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition, Eddie Bauer. The ac compressor clutch will not kick in when useing the climate control. The system is fully charege. I ran power directly to the comperssor and the clutch...

Check the high and low pressure switches, either switch can cause the compressor not to run. Look for the switches in the high and low side lines. Hope this helps, let me know.

How do I program or fix the key-less entry remote on my Expedition 1998 4.6? I tryed but the truck wont go into programing mode.

This is the procedure to Replacing lost transmitters

Take all your vehicle's transmitters to your dealer for reprogramming if:
1.- One transmitter is lost, or
2.- You want to purchase additional transmitters (up to four may be
programmed).

To reprogram the transmitters, place the key in the ignition and switch from OFF to ON eight times in rapid succession within 10 seconds. After doors lock/unlock, press any button on all transmitters (up to four).

When completed, switch the ignition to OFF. All transmitters must be programmed at the same time.

Hope thie help (remember rated and comment this). Good luck.
