1998 Audi A6 Quattro with water at rear passenger seat floor only

Hi:

I am an original owner of a Audi A6Q. Recently I have been getting lots of water in the rear passenger floor area. I have had the car checked out by my mechanic and they have pressured tested the windows, gaskets and sun roof. Cleared all drain holes and still the water ponds in the seat area.

Does anyone have an inkling of what might be going on here?. I almost positive it is not coming from outside sources as I kept the care inside for a 10 day period, floor dried and then used it for 3 days with no rain. Water again collected in the rear.

Please help.

1998 audi a6 2.8 quattro tiptronic doesnt work but auto still fine?

Google it - Check this LINK. If your horn or other steering wheel controls do not work, it's likely the clockspring - the device that transmits the inputs from the steering wheel into the wiring harness under the dash. Pray it's not, otherwise your Audi tech will be buying himself a new S4.

Audi A6 rear seat problem

The rear seat pulls out easily.  Grab the front of the seat with fingers under seat on driver side and pull up hard.  do the same on the passenger side and it will unclip.  Then you can move the seat around to get to the buckle.  Install by inserting rear end in first and lineing up the metal tabs w/ the female plastic inserts in the floor and push down hard until it snaps into place.
