If you are just getting a click - click - each time you turn key to start position your battery terminals are not getting good connection or battery has had it. Loosen cables - negative first (always) - then take sand paper - if you do not have post cleaner - and sand inside of wire ends and outside of battery terminals and re-connect (positive first) and try. If you have the small side post style connections sand flats on battery and wire ends. If it works get spray "terminal protectant" to put on terminals. If still same jump with jump box or another car and see what happens. If it starts with a jump you may have dead battery.

Dead Battery. Try jump starting, then run it by any good parts store and have charging system tested and battery "load tested". Most parts stores (Autozone, Advance, etc..) will do this FREE

When i try to start the van i only get a click sound

I would think your battery could be dead. try jumpstarting from a jumper box or another vehicle or better yet put battery on charger for a few hours.
Also check both + and - connections and be sure they are not corroded and are getting good contact. If after this you still get only clicking sound I would think that starter needs replacing.

2008 impala cranks but won't start

Theres only two possibilities why a car doesnt start...its not getting fuel or fire. Start by turning the key to the First click before trying to crank it up. Leave the key in that position and lean your ear toward the rear or the vehicle before the driverside rear tire and listen for a faint humming sound. If, you hear this sound, your getting fuel (that would be your fuel pump). That would me your not getting fire... check plugs and wires for loose fittingor cracks and replace

Clicking noise wont start

Sounds like a weak solenoid on the starter. Probably needs starter replacement. Those cars need a mechanic to work on them.

2000 focus zts. Battery is good so is starter. Went to start and all I get is a clicking sound.

What do you mean the battery is good, and so is the starter? Did you have them tested? What kind of clicking sound? Is it a single click when you turn the key or multiple clicks as long as you hold the key in the start position? Have you checked for voltage at the large post on the starter? There should be 12V. If not, you have a break in your supply line. It could be a bad fuse/fusible link.

1999 Toyota 4-Runner sometimes won't start

Sounds like the starter is getting ready to go out. I'd look at being ready to replace it soon. If it is a stick shift transmission car, you can PUSH start the car, but you probably want to get it done before this happens. This is what mine did, click, click, start, over a period of about 2 weeks before it finally went out. Replaced it, starts first time every time now.

Hope this helps.

Clicking sound when trying to start

the clicking sound may be the sound of a bad starter or the battery doesnt have enough juice to start the truck try giving a jump start first if that does not work try hitting the starter with a hammer a few times to see if it starts if it does this is a starter problem.if no start check and see if there is power athe possitive wire when trying to start it. because this is an older truck you can check for powere at the solenoid on the fender

Once i try to start up the car is just clicks and clicks. engine won't start.

The clicking sounds like you're car's sparking but there's no fuel getting to it. Could be a dirty fuel filter, or bad fuel pump.
