  • open the glove box,
  • you will notice it moves back and fort but only to a point, look at the sides you will notice 2 cylinders mounted into the glove box running in a grove,
  • pry out out of the grove, both sides,
  • the glove box will now come all the way out and rock foward so you an see the back of it.
  • you will notice 2 hinges bolting the glove box in place. Remove them.
  • thats it your glove box is out.

Where is my fuel pmp relay at

Hi Leeanne
If it is an injected model, here is the AllData instructions;

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY (that is what it's called).

On Camry, Celica Corolla RWD and Van models, remove glove box. On Pickup and 4Runner models, remove right kick panel, glove box and speaker. On MR2 models, remove rear luggage compartment trim. On Cressida and 1985---Early 1986 Supra models, remove left kick panel. On Corolla FWD models, remove ECU cover from behind center console. On late 1986---1988 Supra models, remove right side kick panel.
Remove circuit opening relay with wiring from bracket.
Insert voltmeter positive probe into rear of connector at Fp terminal.
Meter should read battery voltage during cranking and while engine is running.
Disconnect electrical connector from relay and measure resistance between terminals.
If relay fails to perform satisfactory, relay is defective.

There is also a main relay on the left side. This will control the ECU

You might check this as well:

most of the time it is on the driver side down low inside the kick panel to test the pump you jump the two terminals under the hood by the fuse panel, the B+ one and the FP one with a paperclip

Answer:

On the second generation MR2 and MR2 Turbo (1991 through 1995 USA, and 1991 through 1999 for the rest of the world), it is on the FRONT side of the engine, between the engine and the rear firewall of the cabin area. It is the right side of the car.

Where is the 1993 240 fuel pump relay?

The relay on a 1993 Volvo 240 is behind the glove box. Just remove the panel below the glove box and you should see a white square plastic box - this is the fuel pump relay.

Hi I have just now noticed the MR2.Former Jeep owner but now have fallen for the MR2's 1991-1993 models.Cant drive a stick anymore so what concerns do the automatic transmissions have ? Any differences...

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.

The MR2 auto transaxles are very reliable units. Just change the ATF with the correct fluid every 30,000 miles. If it has high mileage, 90 + K miles, and is a dirty colour, I'd recommend a transmission flush. This will remove all of the dirty fluid from the system.

The MR2 non-turbo was a fun car, and had very few comon failures.

Try to stay away from the turbo cars, the turbos are know to fail, and the parts and labour to replace the turbo is very expensive.

The MR2s are rather quirky when it comes to servicing the cooling system, you have to bleed the air out. The necessary procedure is in the owner's manual, or online.

Other than those items, the MR2 is a very decent and reliable car. A little noisy, with the engine right behind you, but, that is part of the fun.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

I have a 1993 mr2 and need an engine loom diagram for when i fit the replacement engine

I can help! Are you doing a N/A to turbo swap? Or just engine for engine? Mostly year for year will be the same...JDM or USDM. Depending on year...My first suggestion would be to go to Toyota and buy the 2 Big Green Books for your year. They have FULL wire diagrams amongst COUNTLESS things you will need to know. 2nd...I would go to MR2 tech .com...They have most of the pages of the BGB there. Anything you need let me know! Ive done many swaps in the 2nd gen. Good luck!

1993 toyota mr2 non turbo

The parking brake is adjusted by a small cable located underneath the plastic shield panels on the underside of the car. The bolts will often snap when removing them. If the parking brake is not working well it may be time to replace the cables as they are prone to stretching and freezing. You can get them through rock auto "www.rockauto.com" or at a toyota dealer. Have someone with a lift change them. It should cost no more than $250 to have it done at a garage. There is also a possibility that the calipers are malfunctioning and not adjusting properly, but this is also... best verified and addressed by a garage.

If you are talking about the PCM it is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box and you will see an aluminum box with a large wire harness going into it.
