How do i change the oil in my super charger on my 2001 pontiac grand prix gtp? What oil do i replace it with and will this cause transmission to stop working properly?

Start by removing the engine plastic cover. On the front of the super charger you will see a black allen plug. Using a T-27 allen wrench, unscrew this plug. Using a vacuum pump and small hose, suck out all 8 oz. of used oil. Install 8.oz of GM Goodwrench supercharger oil. Reinstall plug. Engine should be warm when doing this.

I have 2002 Buick regal gs. I noticed a whining noise while driving. What could this be from, someone told me I may need to change super charger oil ? Please help .

this could be an alternator noise like the bearings.or it could be a bearing in the super charger.try changing the oil for the super charger and see if it helps especially if it hasn`t been changed.

I want to know if the Aston Marton DB7 i6 supercharger needs oil and what type would it be

The SC (Super Charger) needs oil and it has a recessed threaded plug on the SC casing to check the level, when the oil is correct it should just come to the edge of the fill hole plug threads. The oil is a special lubricant made especially for Super Chargers and can be purchased from the dealer, each manufacturer has there own formula of SC oil, so although other SC oils will probably be OK why take the chance, use the SC lube from the Aston Marin dealer if you have a dealer near by. If no Aston Marin dealer is close the next best SC oil can be purchased from any GM dealer.

I have a 2002 nissan xterra with a supercharger. The truck started smoking after a noise form the SC and lost power...Any thoughts on what might be causing this...

it sounds like there is a problem with the supercharger that needs repair or replacing depending on what has been damaged.the smoke is from the charger blowing oil into the motor.i would say the super charger will need to be replaced and hopefully there is no engine damaged.

Looks like an oil leak from the supercharged or top of engine but as the super charger was making a pinking like noise think it could be this a major job and is it a main agent visit?...

The supercharger is an extemely complex unit. It consists of to large helicle tubes that have to be timed precisely and very well lubricated. Yes I would take it to the top dealer in your area. Thanks, Dana

Problems with valves knocking

You can remove the belt from the super charger and see if knocking persists. Car will run w/o super charger. Plan to spend about $300 for a remanufactured super charger.
