A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How do you get the calliber off of a 1993 toyota corolla

I think you mean brake caliper?
1. Jack up vehicle on the side which you want to remove. 2. Remove the wheel. 3. There is 2 main bolts which hold the caliper to the steering knuckle assembly, just unbolt those 2 and the caliper should come away from the rotor etc. 4. Clamp the brake line with a good clamp then undo the hose to the caliper.
This is the pure basics to removing the caliper.

Do I need to remove the brakes to change hub assembly on a 2000 toyota corolla

yes you will have to remove the brake caliper. then the rotor. although its not necessary, some people find it easier to remove the tie rod end as well, just to allow for easier turning of the wheel. Then once the rotor and caliper are off, you will need to physically turn the steering one way or the other to access the bolts from behind the knuckle and remove them. Then repeat for all the bolts until removed. Then with a hammer, hammer on the back sid of the hub assembly, until it comes out. Please keep in mind that once the hammering starts the hub assembly might come apart so pay attention if this happens seek further help. good luck!

Trying to replace the brake ight in a1997 toyota

Open trunk. Undo the screw holding the assembly to the body. Pull firmly backward, or insert flat head screwdriver in front of assembly to pry backward. Light sockets twist out of assembly.

to get the cv joint axle off on the 98 corolla, you have to remove the wheel, shock/strut, and control arm, pop it out of the transmission, and replace, i think there is a cover that you might have to take off first before you get to the cv, its been about 6 months since i replaced mine, sorry... but good luck and god bless, Please Rate me!

1998 Toyota Corolla: New Brakes but still Grinding sound

I would look for rust on the back side of the rotors; this is a very common problem that will duplicate the noises that you describe.

That is the brake caliper bolt. It secures the brake caliper to the caliper bracket.
Please remeber to rate this fix.
