No not really, its like putting a bandaid on something that really needs a cast. its worth the effort to put new seal.

Oil is leaking, how can I tell if engine main

You don't give make or model. Here goes , The engine has a rear maim seal behind the fly wheel if it leaks the leak will be from the clutch housing. It has a front seal behind the crank shaft timing cover.it can leak from there . it can leak from the oil filter and oil pressure switch . Can also leak from the top timing cover gasket and cam shaft seals.

My oil is apparently "spraying" not just leaking.

This job will cost you money no matter what you do. If the seals are as bad as you have been told then you are up for a timing belt as well as oil destroys them very quickly. You will have to remove the timing belt and cam gear to get the seal out. IF the cam seal has gone then the crank seal will not be far behind it. If you let it go then the belt will fail; and you will have a head job to pay for as well Get a workshop manual and a mechanic friend to help you save on the labour costs but you are stuck for the parts.

Daewoo front crank seal leak

front seal on the timing cover? Maybe your leak is coming from another place? You might need to talk to another daewoo owner or find a forum for your car and research there. good luck.

Main bearing seal leaks

The simple answer is heavier oil or a product called "motor honey", "stp" or similar, available at your Auto Parts store. Ask the guy or gal at the counter for the best product for your application.

Repairing the seal is very costly.

Bmw 530i model 2001 230000 km i have to add l liter oil per 10 day due to oil leak. no oil spot under car but the mechanic told me the rubber between engine and gear box is leaking and no smoke. can...

STP won't stop the leak, only disassembling and replacing the seal. However, the car could be burning oil but the catalytic converter will complete the combustion of the 'smoke' to water (H2O) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

At 230,000 KM, I wouldn't be surprised that the rings are worn or the valve seals are leaking internally.

Cam seal leak

Replacing the cam seal is really more time consuming than difficult. The EJ-25 motor requires the removal of front covers, timing belt, and the timing gear for the cam that needs replaced. The seal can be replaced without removing the valve cover or cam. The installation is very important on setting the cam timing. Good luck and have a great day.

I put power steering fluid in then later on its about gone i dont know if its the power steering or yhe hose i replace the belt and one of the pulley and now the squeal is back what is the problem

Your steering rack is either cracked somewhere and loosing fluid or it could also be rubber seals within the rack itself allowing fluid to escape. There is a conditioner made by Wynnes and another by STP that you can simply add to the resevoir. This is a cheap fix and is supposed to cause the rubber seals in the rack to swell and stop the leak. I think the product is actually called 'Stop Leak'. You could try this - some people have reported good results but it may not be a very long term fix.
