Sound like it may be a faulty diode tri in your alternator, only problem is you have to replace the whole alternator to fix this, sorry dont have better news.

Changed altanter on a Chevy 1500 4.3 lt engine now won't start

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? This is a chevy pick-up, what year?

With the engine running are you getting any voltage off the alternator? check with a multimeter. Check voltage at battery while running should be 13 volts or more.

Two weeks ago, when I went to Acura deller for oil change, they sugested me change the battery, since I never got a problem for start, so i did not change the battary. But next day I can not start my car,...

First make sure the terminal and posts are clean and greased.

Then make sure the alternator belt is tight.

The type of battery makes no difference as long as it fits.

What matters is whether or not the alternator is putting out 13.5 volts or higher, in order to keep the battery at 12.5 volts. Put a voltmeter on the battery and rev the engine.

My battery light stays on and the battarie will not charge. could it be a fuse or do i have to change my alternator?

You will need to test your charging system on your car and verify that it is working. The alternator should be putting out 13 to 14 volts. More than likely it is the alternator. Many places offer free battery/charging system tests because they would like to sell you a battery or alternator. Other places will do it for a minumal fee. You can also buy a handheld unit that can test the charging system and battery.

make sure all the wires were connected back to the battery there is a red wire that sits by itself and when you disconnect the battery it tends to fall also check the alternator circuit breaker could be blown.
