No compression on left bank all cyclinders right bank ok 1988 mercedes 560sel 5.6 liter

First remove the left bank rocker cover and check the operation of the valves and the valve train. Off hand it sounds like the cam drive may have broken and bent valves or left them open. If that is not the problem, the only remaining factors could be a badly leaking head gasket which has blown between every cylinder or all the rings on that bank have collapsed due to very bad overheating. All the pistons being holed seems highly unlikely - Mercedes do not do that type of thing.

My mercedes 1991 300E 2.6 must need the fuel filter replaced What tools are necessary to remove it?

Not sure of what your issue is buy fuel filter is by the fuel pumps under the car rear passenger area under a plastic cover. Some combination wrenches and a good way to stop the flow of gas from both ways and you just swap it out.
