Question about 1992 Buick Park Avenue

1 Answer

1992 Buick Park Ave will not start, wont turn starter. had batttery checked and it is good. This happened once before, and after disconnecting and reconnecting battery the problem went away for 3-4 months. this time it appears here to stay. Security light does not stay lit or blinking so I do not think its a security problem. no indication that the starter was bad. is there a relay that may have died somewhere?

Could have bad ground battery cable, replace both battery cables if they are old as vechicle, you could have bad starter solenoid switch also faulty transmission neutral switch will cause no start conditions.

I have a 1995 Buick Park Ave Ultra. The car has power but will not turn over. I was told by one shop that it might be the V.A.T.S. system and by another that it is the IGNITION CONTROL MODULE.

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight on the battery. Check to see if the wires to the starter are tight. Try starting it in neutral to make sure the safety switch is being make. Also hold it up into park and try.

Hi it sounds like a bettery fault, check the battery leads are on tight and all have a good connection.
Also ensure the earth lead from the battery has a good contact on the car body.

Pass key is the security system which disables the car if it is stolen. You need the remote or a key with a chip to start the car. go to a dealer, prove ownership with registration and they will be able to help you out

My 1992 Buick Park Ave won't start part of the time. It isn't the starter, or the battery or cables to it, or the ignition. The engine purrs once it starts and it isn't an engine problem. It is just like...

Yeah it could be the igntion switch, specially if you don't even hear a relay clicking. This could also be caused by a loose connection aroun the battery area, check all the connection around the main fuse under the hood, and around the battery area. Next time it happens turn the key to on position and check voltage to a main fuse. If the 12 volt is missing then the problem is around there somewhere.

My 1993 want start or turn over buick park ave.

Check the battery connections and the battery itself the battery must be charged and tested, clean the battery terminals charge the battery and try to start, if no luck take the battery to an auto parts store to have it tested for free replace battery if neccessary, always wear safety glasses when working near a battery. If the battery is good and connections are good replace the starter, but you may want to check the connections at the starter first before purchasing a starter there may be corrosion on the connections.
