Best placement for the jack is under the axle tube as close to the wheel as possible without interfering with any brackets etc. Same applies to rear if you ever need to do that.

How do i rotate tires on a 2008 saturn outlook

you lift the car up on jacks so that the tires are off the ground, then you put jack stands in placement. then you loosen ONLY THE BOLTS ON THE TIRE IN THE AIR remove the tire let the car down on to the jack stands, and move the jack to the next and do the same what you do is take the passenger side back tire and switch it with the drivers side front tire. then you take the drivers side back tire and switch it with the passenger side front tire. make sure the bolts are tight as you can get them then you are done. i hope this information helps. Be careful and drive safe!

My 2004 sierra denali vibrates or feels like I'm running over the lane change bumps on the freeway. What could it be? The rear end, the transfercase, or the drive line?

Most likely a bad wheel bearing assembly, Jack up each wheel individualy starting at right front (passenger) under lower control arm, just enough to get tire of the ground. With tire still on place hands on outside of tire at 3 oclock & 9 oclock & try to move in & out, push & pull. If there is play it will need to be replaced. Check all 4 wheels this way.

Where can i put jack stands to do an oil change?

There are (2) three and a half inch long jack pads on both sides of your vehicle along the frame rail located exactly twelve inches behind each of your front wheel assemblies. You can place your jack stands safely there. Your oil filter is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, so you'll need to remove the oil filter by accessing it right above the lower control arm using a three-pronged oil filter wrench and a 9" extension with a ratchet.

IMPORTANT! : Always replace the oil drain plug gasket with each lube, oil and filter service. (it looks like a copper or aluminum washer)

P.S. - Don't forget to adjust your tire pressures to 30 p.s.i. in accordance with the tire placard located in the driver side doorjamb.

Where do you place the jack when changing a front tire on a 2001 ford excursion

First step. be sure that the vehicle is on a level surface with the transmission in Park and parking brake set. Chock the wheels if possible.
For a 4 Wheel Drive (4WD), a flat on passenger's side, position the jack so that it cradles the front axle. For a flat on the driver's side, position the jack so that it fits into the notched area of the 4WD differential. For a 2 Wheel Drive, position the jack so that the jack cradles the large pin that protrudes out of the cross-member to the front of car. Hopefully, this will FixYa problem!

Changing front passenger axle

It is fairly simple, Block your wheels and loosen the lug nuts a little, jack your car up until you have the tire off ground, remove tire, remove the center nut on the tire hub. pull the whole assembly uot and away from the car, let the assembly hang down and push to one side, use something to hold it away from work area, fallow shaft until you come to a support, loosen the support. pull, **** hard shaft towards you. it will take a great effort to loosen the shaft but it should pull loose as one piece. get the new one and put it into the same route as the old shaft. look at entry point into the transmmision make sure that the new shaft has been properly seated, you will feel or hear the spline click into place when properly seated. then follow disassembly instructions. Go to the library if you need pictures and detailed step for step instructions. hope this gets you there.
