Question about 1999 Mercury Sable
Ok, i couldnt remember how to get the door panel off on your specific car, so while looking it up i came across this video from 1a auto. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1CaEXsa0Xg
now as for testing the window system the quickest way i have found is, to start at the motor, sometimes its as simple as a loose ground or worn connection.
unplug the connector for the window motor, and with a multimeter you will want to check for voltage, if voltage is present, your window motor is bad. If no voltage is present, remove the switch on the passenger side, unplug the connection and perform a continuity check on the switch itself.
hope this helps
