The refil tank for the engine coolant is located on the passenger side fender under the hood. It is what used to be used as the over flow or reservoir tank on older vehicles. Our Taurus doesn't have any direct access to the radiator save for that tank.

WHERE does the antifreeze go in Suzuki eiger 400 4x4 05 go? I don't see an radiator cap or anything

there will be an expansion tank that hold/refill the coolant , look for plastic tank could be round , square beside rad , with coolant hoses to it , make sure engine cold when removing cap, will need to drain old coolant before refilling with new , worth checking the coolant strenght before draining as may still be ok

I have a 2001 Ford Escape that blew radiator hose, replace hose and tried to refill with coolant but coolant will not go down. Is this a thermostat problem?

You have trapped air in the cooling system, open the bleeder(s) (if equipped) while filling OR raise the front of the car up as high as possible with a floor jack and fill the coolant recovery tank to the top and run the engine until it is hot but do not let it overheat, wait for the engine to cool down (the coolant will self feed into the engine) and add more to the coolant tank if needed

Why coolant level in refill tank drops with no apparent leak?

Hi Ayaz
if there no leak detected that means the radiator cap is not holding the pressure, that cause the coolant to travel to the expansion tank and flood out, then when engine cool down, it will suck the coolant back to the radiator and leave the refill tank empty.
Replace the Radiator Cap

Good luck

How do I burp the coo long system in a Mercury grand marquis

Answer borrowed from BigNslow
Determine the capacity of the cooling system, then properly refill the system at the recovery tank or radiator opening with a 50/50 mixture of fresh coolant and distilled water until it reaches the FULL COLD line on the recovery tank or the radiator is full.

Leave the recovery tank or radiator cap off to aid in bleeding the system.

Start the engine and allow it to idle until the thermostat opens (the upper radiator hose will become hot). The coolant level should go down, this is normal as the system bleeds the air pockets out of the system.

Refill the system with coolant to the proper level.

Turn the engine OFF and check for leaks.

Putting in the antifreeze

remove header tank cap undo drain plug at bottom of radiator and bleed screw at top of radiator once all coolant has drained retighten tthe drain plug pour the new coolant into the header tank waiting for the coolant to drain through system and watch for coolant to come out of the bleed screw , shut bleed screw top up the header tank to the max level replace cap.Now run engine ,dont drive just stay with revs at 1500 open bleed screw to let any trapped air out and wait for the cooling fan to cut in , allow engine to cool down and refill header tank if required and repeat the running/bleeding/fancutting in procedure until when engine has cooled the coolant is near the max mark on header tank

I don't know where to put in the coolant, where do i refill the coolant?

There should be a coolant overflow tank located in the engine compartment. It will look about the same as the windshield washer tank. This should supply coolant back and forth to your radiator.. Hope this helps.. If all else fails send me a pic of engine and I will point it out for you..

I have 2007 crysler sebring 2,4cc how far do i refill my coolant to what level

With the engine cold, fill all the way to the top of the cap with premixed solution of coolant (usually 50/50 mix).
Then also fill the coolant overflow tank to about 1/4 to 1/3 full with coolant mix.
Run the engine until gauge show that engine has fully warmed up. Shut off and wait for engine to fully cool and check both levels again. Refill if necessary. One time is enough unless other problems.

Wheres does the antifreez coolant/ i think i have a whole

First of all I believe you mean the Windshield Washer Fluid bottle, the Antifreeze Coolant goes in the Coolant Recovery Bottle,

If the warning light does not go out there is a sensor in the bottle, the sensor could be dirty or does not work, check that for now.
