Question about 1995 GMC Suburban
My A/C pump will not come on. Only get hot air in A/C mode. I had the cross over wire connecting the dual batteries detach from the fan shround and fall into the fan where it was cut in two and shorting out all over the place. This was repaired and subsequently noted the issue with the A/C not coming on. The pump is less than 1 year old and has a lifetime warranty from GM. I've checked all fuses and they are fine. Is there some sort of relay I should be checking or replacing?
Hi,First check the ac relay in the power distribution box under hood.If it is good, with the ac on take the electrical plug loose from the compressor.Check for voltage to the plug.If there is none, verify you have a full charge of refrigerant. If you do,take the ac clutch cycling switch( low pressure switch ) plug loose. The switch should be mounted on the drier/accumulator or near it on low pressure side.Put a paper clip in the end of plug to jump it over.If the compressor comes on replace the switch.Good Luck!!!
