How to input radio code x type - 2002 Jaguar X-Type

Are you sure that there isn't a set of key presses before or after you input the code? It may be that there is an additional security feature that requires this

install the software in your computer
take out your radio and put the radio code starting with bp on to the software and it will show your code
plug the radio back in press as button untill code comes up and input your code using 1234 buttons on the radio and press and hold as button untill it turns on the radio

You need to remove the radio back up fuse for at least 2 minutes (yeah, I know they say 30 seconds, but it hasn't always worked for me), then reinstall the fuse. It should show 1000 or something similar on the digital display. You need to have the 4 digit code to unlock the radio and depress a couple of buttons after entering the code.

Remember that you push the radio pre-set station buttons to enter the code; button 1 for the first digit, button 2 for the second digit and so on. You will then need to push another button on your radio to enter the code. The button that you need to push will depend on which type radio you have.

If you don't have the radio code, look on the trunk floor to see if the radio serial number or code for the radio is there. If the PDI was done correctly and the radio wasn't replaced, then there should be a sticker on the trunk floor area with the serial number of the radio and/or the code. If it isn't there, then the radio needs to be removed from the vehicle to see the code that is stamped into the metal body of the radio. This plus the VIN number are input into the VW information system (done at the dealership only) to obtain the radio code.

The instructions for inputing the code should be in the owners manual or radio suppliment as supplied by VW, when the vehicle was sold new. If you have the code but aren't sure about how to input the code, see the local dealership, they can do it on the driveway in a manner of a few moments.

If the radio requires to be pulled to obtain the code, expect to pay between .5 to 1.0 of labour at the dealership's posted labour rate to obtain the code and input it into the radio to make it function. They used to do it for free until they ended up doing something 10 or more of these a day, because everyone else was charging up to $120! to unlock and programme the radio!

usually when a code is needed you can talk to your local dealer and they should be able to get the code from the factory, when they get it usually you have turn the key to acc for about 5 minutes (sometimes longer) and then you input the code by whatever means like using your seek buttons to change the number and your volume knob or buttons to change which character you are wanting to change

You can obtain the code from daewoousa. Remove radio and get serial number from radio (white strip with black numbers on radio) Email this to daewoousa and they will email back your 4 digit code. To input code, disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable, pause, then reconnect. Your radio face will now flash "code" Input the 4 digit code given to you. Radio will play after about 15 seconds.

with the key on engine off the radio should display the word code if this is not been displayed at all check your fuses if they are good try removing your radio and unplugged connectors. once plugged back in if you don't see the word code displayed then your radio is shorted out

If this stereo is a clarion and original equipment and uses a a four digit code. First thing you do is with the power on to the radio, push and hold the band button for a few seconds until you see the word "code" on the radio display. Input the code and radio should work. If that doesn't work, then if you have tried to input a wrong code several times then radio will lock out. So what you need to do is
the radio has to be on for one hour uninterrupted, then you can do the band button procedure , code input again and hopefully the radio goes on. Hopefully this helps. Please advise results
