Question about 2004 Chrysler Sebring

1 Answer

2004 Sebring 2.7L. The car was running fine with no apparent problems. I turned the car off for a few minutes to get gas. When I went to start the car again, it wouldn't start at all. No clicking, very dim lights. I tried jumping 3 times. It would start, then die. The third time, I revved the engine a bit to try to keep it running. while revving, lights on the dash would flicker and the gauges were jumping a bit. car still died once I stopped revving and tried to drive. The battery has been long overdue for a change, but could it be something else?

changed the Battery, that was the problem. I left it running for a half hour with all of the lights on and the radio on just to make sure that the problem wouldn't come back.

Check for 12 volts at the battery if it is anything less you will need a new battery.

2004 sebring won't start at all

sounds like you might have lost the altanator. Check the battary to see if it is very low, if so it was running of the battery and not the altanator. try charging the battery and see if it will run. If it does, checkthe voltage on the battery. it should be above 13 volts when runnig. If not it is the altanator.

I have a 1997 dodge avenger es 2.5 liter here's

Check the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator for any sign of gas being sucked into the line. A failed regulator will let extra gas get into the engine. If it's okay, have the fuel pressure checked. That's sure a lot of gas, way too much for the engine. Good luck.

My 2000 Chrysler Sebring stops running. After a few minutes it will start again and run fine. This situation just started happenning a few months ago and is increasing in frequency

is the check engine light on??
i've done a few that had no light/codes.the most common problems are crank or cam sensor failures. really need to check when car stalls.
replacing crank sensor 6 mths ago & car has'nt had a problem. if you search these sensor on the sebring you'll find alot of info.

had a problem with a grand prix like that once, was the fuel filter, and injectors, all needed replaced, and it only had 89,000 miles.
Would check fuel filter first. Is it possible you got some bad gas??
