Question about 2000 Ford Focus
The thermostat is situated below and to the right of the alternator in the thermostat housing. if you romove the alternator you can then see the thermostat housing..hope this helps.

I have fitted several on these cars and can do it in about 20 mins without removing the alternator, it is fiddly but with the right tools it is quite easy. removing the alternator means fitting new stretch belts as well.
