Question about Mercedes-Benz B-Class

1 Answer

I have been given a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) today for having parked in a part of one space that had been suspended, but I hadn't noticed the sign. The PCN has one letter in the Registration Number incorrectly recorded. Am I therefore liable to pay the fine, or is this a reason for having the charge dismissed?

You can try to fight it, but highly unlikely they'll void it because of 1 digit difference.

Start on a day you're not using the car. park it in a spot where any fluid leaks will be imeadiately obvious and if you see a fluid leak jack the vehicle on the spot and get under it and start looking for wet spots. It could be something as simple as a bad or loose hose clamp.

Your water pump is starting to seize up. Today's modern serpentine belts don't just slip. Your water pump is dragging. Which is causing the noise and the temperature increase. Get it fixed and you will notice better gas mileage. If you continue to run it like that be sure to keep your eye on the temperature gauge. One overheat or close call has the potential to do big damage to an engine of that age.
