Having issues with a 98 Kia sportage... no power to the pressure switch and compressor clutch..

There is basically only 1 thing you can do yourself to try and fix this issue, and that is, check the fuses, both under the dash, and in the motor compartment. You may need to check the relay as well. Other than that, you will require the services of an automotive air conditioning technician because this system is under pressure, and any repairs require the refrigerant be captured. It's not unique to Sportage. The same answer would be for any automobile with air conditioning.

Kia sportage cranks but seldom starts??

Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ? The computer grounds the relay when the computer "sees" oil pressure or engine RPM.

Why wont my A/C Compressor and High Coolant Fans Engage?

Check for broken wiring, blown fuses, possible bad relays, and look at the pressure switch. Some systems have a high pressure switch (some have a low pressure also) that prevent the compressor from running. If it is faulty or damaged, it could be preventing the compressor from running. Wire damage could be possible with front end damage.

My 2001 Kia Sportage battery drains while parked.

1- do you have aftermarket audio or alarm installed recently- if yes, that is likely the phantom drain.

2- if this just developed, does the fuel pump remain on? You can hear it running if kneel down by the gas tank. If so- relay may have fused contacts- in which case replace relay. Alternately the oil pressure switch may be stuck closed. in which case- replace the oil pressure switch- it is not the same one that controls the oil pressure gaauge or light- those are in a different location.

Replaced blower motor in my 2001 kia sportage ex, fan only works on high. Any suggestions?

It could be the blower motor resistor, the high position feeds full 12 volt power directly to the blower motor. All lower settings route through the blower motor resistor. It is usually located under the passenger side dash, not far from the blower motor. Two screws secure it to the heater box.

Fan motor problem

usually its the heater resistor that causes that. find it and check it out, this controls all fan speeds. its under the passengers side glove box, take off wiring then remove 2 screws and then it will drop out.
