This is usually caused by low alternator output or corroded connections on the battery and on the alternator itself. check your wires to make sure they are visually ok and make sure they are not loose. also have the alternator tested by a qualified professional so you dont end up buying something you don't need. there are quite a few auto parts stores that will do this for free.

Battery and brake lights on

John, According to Nissan forums weak failing alternator is the common problem for bat and brk light on. If you are sure battery and alternator are good, I say check and clean battery connections and all grounds(loosen and re tighten all ground connections to give good contact), check belt for being loose.

John, I think I may have already answered this one.Check and clean battery connections and all grounds(loosen and re tighten all ground connections to give good contact), check belt for being loose. Nissan forums say it is a bad alternator.

Brake light and battery light both on

Hi Greg:

Is it possible that the brake switch is stuck on?

That would eventually cause the battery to go dead.

I'd suggest you charge the battery and try temporarily removing the wires from the brake light switch. See if the problem continues. Do not run the vehicle on the road without functional brake lights. UNSAFE, and ILLEGAL.

Brake and battery light came on while driving.

The battery may not be charging, alternator, cable, or fuse problem.
The brake system may be low on brake fluid. The parking brake switch may be telling the light the parking brake is on.

Battery and brake light on

For some reason the brake warning light and battery light are connected, so either system could be having problems.
The battery warning light could mean the battery is not being charged, and the brake warning light could mean you are low on brake fluid.
I would start with the check engine light and see what the codes are.

The battery light and the brake light come on. This just started yesterday. We replaced the battery and front brakes two weeks ago. Is this just a glitch in the computer?

When you replaced the battery, did you have the alternator tested? The battery light indicates either the battery is not holding a charge or not receiving the proper power from the alternator to charge the battery.
The brake lights could be a glitch but it could also mean that you are low on brake fluid or you have air in the brake system. Suggest you at least check the fluid level in the master cylinder and bleed the brakes.

Battery and brake light constantly comes on

Battery light comes ON,this is indication of battery not getting charged by the alternator in the car.So the battery is loosing its charge/voltage.Other possibility of battery light coming on is battery is getting weak and it needs to be replaced. In some cases, just removing and cleaning the battery terminals and then reconnecting the battery terminals again.solves the problem. But also check the battery voltage by voltmeter.A fully charge proper battery will give 12 volts. If there is then get the battery terminals cleaned and reconnect and check.-------------- Now another problem, the brake light comes on when, the brake fluid is near to end or there is any problem with brake system, that is if brake pads are getting worn out or brake caliper is getting loose,In this case first check the brake fluid,if that is fine then check the brake pads and caliper. If that is also checked fine, then only in that case.Check the brake light switch. The switch is located where the brake lever is.Remove that brake switch, clean its wiring and recheck. It should help.-------------- Thanks.Helpmech.

Brake light abs light battery light on windows rolling up and down slow and power window barly working

brake light- check level of brake fluid.

abs light- have car scanned with ABS Brake Scan Tool (OBD-II compliant).

battery light- The alternator probably is not charging the battery enough when running. Possible bad battery if one lets it go too long.

My brake light and battery light stays on when driving. Also emergency brake does not work.

OK, the brake light is caused most likely by the emergency brake cable being broken, and the pedal or brake lever is not in position.

Also, the brake light could be caused by low brake fluid level. Check that, too.

Battery light, is caused by the charging system not working, like a bad alternator or shorted out battery, or both.

I would have these issues repaired before driving any distance.
