Was the car running ok prior to this no start?Did it start missing or loosed power?
The horn thing is unusual but can be triggered by cars alarm system or ECU fault.
Does car have an alarm?was the battery run flat or changed just prior to this fault?
They both will inhibit spark if alarm locked on or faulty,as for ECU fault.
Depending on the model. They have a coil mounted on the fire wall that does fail.Check for spark at the centre tower with insulated pliers and holding the lead close to a bare metal area of engine area.
Run a test light on +ve side of coil.if it has power to it.it will light.the other side should flash on crank to indicate trigger from distributor.if ok and no output from tower lead, replace coil.
The model described;to access the coil bolts that fall inside panel when loosened, remove the plastic grille below the wipers.
I hope this helps or get back to me with your findings.

Horn honks when try to start

honking horn is indicative of damage to the alarm and immobiliser. The 'only starts with headlights on' is indicative of damaged wiring at the front end caused by the deer. Look for disconnected wires, or wires where the insulation has been stripped away and is earthing to the bodywork.

Car was starting and running fine, then suddenly lost all electrical, no crank no start and the horn keeps honking. I changed out the ignition module and the DIM/body control module

That sounds like a burglar alarm, immobiliser issue if the horn goes off. Did you pull a wire when you were under the hood?

The items you swapped out have no bearing on the problem you have, except for possibly the fuses. Did you check what those blown fuses protect?

1997 Lincoln Continentalhorn won't stop honking

First, Have your Battery tested. The Alarm systems in Ford made Products are very sensitive to Voltage. There are 3 systems in the car which interrupt power, the Alarm system (horn honking) and the Battery saver and finally the starter interlock system.

The Alarm system will do several things to disable the car from starting. It will reduce the voltage to the starter to prevent the engine from turning over. Some will even kill the ignition system so that if the starter is jumped, the car still won't start.

The Battery saver will disconnect any system to prevent discharge below a minimum threshold. Unfortunately, when the Alternator is working extra hard to charge a really bad battery: it will disconnect the charging circuit because it reads the Draw going to the Alternator to produce the power as a parasitic drain. Even at 70mph I have seen the charging disconnected and the vehicle coast to a stop when the electric runs out.

The last system worth mentioning is the Starter interlock. Under the dash and at the top of the Brake pedal lever is a switch. When you press the brake pedal, the switch allows the starter to crank provided the shifter is not in D or R. Drivers feet routinely hit this switch and either move it or break it. When it breaks it can short and drain the battery.

As you mentioned a Random problem, the Brake switch can shake to create a random problem if it is loose or broken. Your rear brake lights can be affected.

With the horn honking, at least part of your problem is the Alarm system. You can have a bad ignition switch too, which reads the keychip to disable the alarm. Your keychip may be bad and setting off the Alarm.

I had a new Lincoln myself which set off the Alarm randomly. I actually slept inside the car one night so I could turn off the alarm in the Apartment complex parking lot. Did'nt know if it would start again if the battery was disconnected and then reconnected. The Battery was shorted with less than 1000 miles on the car. It was a factory defective battery less than 3 months old.

But your car has many years and miles on it so it was worth mentioning the wear items. I hope my solution is helpful.

Horn randomly honks(very annoying while your trying to sleep) HELP!

its possible that the relay is the problem as most relays have a second power feed wire,if it shorts to the horn side of the relay it can blow the horn.doesn`t happen very often but it does happen.this could explain the horn blowing without the fuse in.you can get a door key made at a lock smith to solve that problem.

My 96 crown vic police interceptor, cranks won't start without spraying starter fluid.. the car won't start without spraying starter fluid into air intake hose to carb...

starting fluid is a thing of the past. dont use it. this car doesnt have a carb, its a throttle body/ electronic fuel injection system. you most likely have a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator issue. test the fuel pressure, should be anywheres from 35-50 psi

1995 Buick Riviera Horn starts honking on its own.

the older cars like that have little contacts that touch each other and if they touch the hor blows. the cover needs to be taken off and readjust the contacts. its alot more difficult when there are airbags. so DO NOT attempt if there are airbags in the car. very dangerous

My 89' S10 will turn over but not crank?

I would check and see if this is your fuel pump. Spray starting fluid in the throttle body right underneath the air horn and if its starts it's your fuel pump. Try turning your key three times but do not start it the first two times and your third time let it cycle for a second then turn the key to start. If it starts during one of these tests it's your fuel pump. Of course check battery and cables, plugs and wires, fuel in the tank, and starter. Autozone offers free tests on your electrical system. I hope this works for you!
