There should be some screws that secure it in place, usually there is one behind the door handle

Purchase the special tool required at your local full service auto parts store. The counter guy or girl can tell you how to use it.

How do I remove the driver side door panel on a 1986 pontiac parisienne broughham

You need special tools to remove the door panel without permanently damaging the panel. you can get them at any auto parts store. The armrest has screws that have to be removed. Pull up on the panel with all the buttons on it while prying on it with a flat blade screw driver. You'll find more screws to take out there. Now for the special tools. Use them to locate and to pry up on the door panel. the tool releases the metal or plastic fasteners without ruining the door panel.

1994 Nissan door panel how do I get the escuscion around the door panel off so I can remove panel

IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE CORRECT TOOL TO REMOVE THE CLIP THAT HOLDS THE HANDLE ON YOU CAN USE A HOOK TOOL AND PULL THE U CLIP OUT OF THE HANDLE. IT IS UNDER PRESSURE SO BE CAREFUL AND KEEP AN EYE ON WHERE IT MIGHT FLY TOO. YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OFF BUT SINCE YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT I WOULD TAKE IT ALL THE WAY OFF.

How to remove front door handles or window on ford tranit van model 1997

ou need to slip the flat side of the handle removal tool just behind where the handle meets the door panel so the flat side is against the door panel. Be careful not to tear or scratch any panel materials!

  • 2 Once the tool is in place, turn the window handle a little bit at a time in both directions while simultaneously putting downward pressure toward the handle with the tool until the "C" clip retainer gets caught and is pushed out of it's slot. This retainer may jump away so you want to keep a close eye out.
This process is more of a manipulation which may take a few moments until the tool catches the clip since you can't see back there. A little patience here and don't force anything!
  • 3 install-car-window-crank-handles-1.3-800x800.jpg Typical window crank handles. Notice where the the "C" clip is located. Once the retaining clip has been removed you should be able to pull the handle straight off of the gear it is on. It may take a little force and you should only work it off from the attachment area and not from the arm of the handle.
  • 4 To reinstall the handle you will need to set the retaining clip just over the stem part of the window handle that will fit back over the gear. You will see the slot the "C" retainer clip will fit over. Press the clip "partially" over the slot, so that when you press forward, once the handle is on the gear, with your tool it will snap forward and set into the groove which will lock it in.
    .
  • 5 Once the handle is in place with your "C" retainer in place, slip the same removal tool behind the handle and between the door panel and push forward as you gently turn the handle until the "C" clip catches and slips over the entire handle locking itself down. It may take a few tries and a little patience.
  • 6 Once you feel the clip catch, you can test to be sure it is in correctly by trying to pull the handle off from the attachment area, where it is attached to the gear, not at the handles end. If the clip has truly caught, it will not pull off.

Inner door panel removal on year 2000-3500 Chevrolet Epress Van. The panel is made of composition plastic material.

You can pull the panel straight off. Find the plastic anchor clips and concentrate on pulling them out one at a time. They do make a tool which looks like a basic flat piece of metal which you use like a wrench. The clips are reusable if you don't remove them too frequently. They aren't very cheap but you can find them at the auto parts store if you need them. You can buy the tool at the store as well.

Need torque settings for front wheel bearing axle nut

Unless someone else can give you the
correct answer, because we are at home
on the internet as you are. This is not
a data base or business for the most part

I will tell you that the torque will be very close to your
    average 1/2" 150# torque wrench
So it won't do you much good,it will be max out

    I actually bought a 3/4" drive ratchet & a 40 " bar so
I didn't need a pipe on my tools & ruin them

You will need from 105 to as much as 180
Sorry I don't have the data

    Don't use an air gun
That is what ruins new brgs & what the pros use
    (go figure,as they say)

How do I remove the driver door panel on a 2002 Malibu?

The door panel is held on with small plastic fasteners. Go to your local auto parts store and look in the auto body section for a trim removal tool.

If you do not want to buy the tool, you can use a flat tool of some sort.
Without the tool, you will need to buy plastic fasteners to replace the ones you ruin. (you'll need a flat prying tool at least 8 inches long and 2 inches wide)

Insert your flat prying tool in between the door panel and the door frame. Carefully work your way around the door, slowly popping the panel loose. Once you have the biggest part loose, you will have to pull up on the top and remove the rubber stripping between the window and door frame. Avoid at all cost ripping the plastic fasteners out of the door panel. You want to pull them loose from the door frame. More than likely, you will ruin several of the plastic fasteners. As I mentioned before, you can buy these at the auto parts store. I suggest taking a few with you so you can match them up with the new ones.

Im trying to replace a side view mirror and need to take the inside door panel off. How do I remove it?

    Hi,
The galant has sort of hidden screws. The door pull has little covers round in shape if they are not missing and behind them in the holes - DEEP are screws - one on each end of the door pull. Remove these and --
Around the edge of the door are plastic push pins that are semi forced into holes to hold the door panel tight. To get these to pull away - [ there is a tool for this ] - push your tool between the metal part of the door on the edge easiest to get to when the door is open - push and wiggle it until you can pull the tool toward you separating the door panel from the door frame. There are different models Galants so look for simple screws that may need to be removed too. Remove the door lock if need be to clear the panel then remove panel.
If you have a manual window crank - there is a tool for that too - to keep you from ripping your door panel when removing the handle. If you have this please get the tool and follow it's instructions.

Best of it - I hope this helps you fix your problem.

How to remove rear door interior door panel

You should obtain a tool made specifically for removing door panels. They are attached by "snap" connectors, and by pulling on the door panel itself will invariably ruin it. Get the tool from a parts place and carefully peer into the slot between the door metal and the door panel. Use the tool slowly with resolution. You should really acquire a manual that guides you for your particular Jag.
Remember, to take the panel completely off, you need to remove the door handle. Look for a plug that has a screw under it. You'll need to pop the door window/lock control panel too, to access screws under there. This can be tricky, so be careful.

I need to replace my pwr seat switch in my 2003 lincoln town car. I got a door panel tool but the door panel is not coming off. I also found a torx bolt behind the door handle but can not find anymore...

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
