Question about 1998 Mazda B-Series

I have a 2006 mazda bounty Diesel and the heater fan switch only operates on full speed , do you know what the problem is

    Yes, you have a bad resistor, and possibly a bad switch too.

    Sorry, but I don't have any specific info for the Bounty.

Most heater fans have a fuse, ballast resistor, switch and motor. Ballast resistors fail often, and are usually easy to access from under the hood.

that sounds like fan switch you didn,t say what year some are vacuum operated will require finding connection under dash, if electrical just change switch

2001 Mazda Tribute (3.0 L) Heater motor functions on high only


Its the Blower Resistor....If it was the switch, it probably wouldn't work at all....But the Resistor will give you those symptoms, of working on high med or low

Heater fan does not run


hi from uk have you no power on all speeds? have you checked the fuse in fuse/relays box look in h/book for location and amperage of fuse if no joy and fuse ok then it may be the heaters reostat/resistor has burned out? but these usually still operate fan on full speed and not on lower speeds any info would be appreciated on what you find ?

Renault espace 02 reg diesel 2.2 heater fans not working control switch working


tipical espace, it wont work or only works on full speed is usually the problems. its the heater resistor, usually a thermal fuse goes on it which can be brought from maplins for 95p.

The heater blower/a/c switch on my Mazda MX5 only works on full speed. How can I fix it? Is there a relay to replace or something? Help!! Tony


you need to replace the blower resistor located on the blower housing between the blower and the evaporator behind the glove box...this should fix you rite up.......

Blower dosent blow on high


fan blower speed switch under hood usually in fire wall or in heater box under dash area if you do not change it you will keep losing all your speeds until nothing left! it is not!!!!the one in your dash that you hand operate! hope this helps.John
