Very closely examine the engine block in the area immediate to the perimeter of the cam gear you will probably find an arrow CAST into the block, simply point the two arrows at each other. A good way to double check yourself is to pull the valve/cam covers and be sure that both the valves on number one cyl are closed at this time and the intake valve on the next in the firing order is closing and theintake valve on the third is opening or wide open (point of lobe on tip of valve stem.
