I installed a High beam hid kit and read online that they needed a resistor in that year to trick the computer. after installing the kit and the resistors to the high beams pos and neg it still flashes four times and turns off. I am wondering if a set of capacitors will solve the problem.

I don't know why you would install resistors inline for an HID kit, they should be 'plug and play'-you plug the connector for your halogen lights into the ballast input for the HID kit, then plug in the HID bulb harness/ bulb to the ballast output, install the bulb into the housing-done. Some people have installed relays to the lights because when the HID's 'light off' the use a lot of power until the bulbs warm up, then they actually consume less than a halogen bulb (usually 35 watts HID to 55 or more halogen). I have HID's in a number of cars and don't have relays hooked up on any, just 'plug and play' and I have no issues whatsoever.

So you are one of the people that blind oncoming drivers because you illegally installed HID conversion kits for your headlights. My advice is to put it back to stock.

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion 1 and bought the xenon hid 9007/HB5 kit. Hid low beams and halogen high beams no bi-xenon bulbs. The high beams work but lows do not. Neither ballast seems to be getting any power?...

The Saturn ion wasn't meant to have H.I.D.installed in them.
Since you want to install these and blind everyone, check what you grounded the ballast to, you probably don't have them grounded properly.

Installed opt7 hid headlight conversion kit on 2004 ford f150, low beams sometimes come on and some times they won't, makes noise when you turn switch

I also suspect a bad ground in this case. Some HID kits actually use a mechanical action to move the bulb in or out for high/low beams, I suspect the sound is the bulb arching as it tries to move to the correct position.

Retrofitting HIDs into halogen headlight assemblies is ******* and my look bright to you, but they actually cast less light on the road because the reflector isn't designed to focus an HID tube. Their designed to focus a filament.

Hid's not working

Check the wiring inside the headlight assy. I had a bad wire in a unit I installed. Once I tracked it down and repaired the wire all was fine.
