Ran fine last night drove round trip prob 75 miles no prob parked tried to start in morming keepd cranking wont start less than 1/4 tqnk off gas banged on gas tank while cranking still wont start any suggestions to tell if fuel pump or not before i have it towed to a garage

One way to check the fuel pump is to turn the ignition to on and listen for the pump to run. It should run for a few seconds. It may be a couple of seconds after you turn the ignition to on before it runs. Normally you can do this repeated times.

If you don't hear the pump run that is most probably the problem.

Try using starting fluid, if it starts replace pump, but if you can check feul pressure that would be better , to much starting fluid is not good
