My 2004 Pontiac grand am by ram air has trac off light on and the abs light on what does that mean?

It means that there is a problem with the ABS (anti lock braking system) and traction control systems normally because of a component failure. When you get these warnings the ABS and traction control systems will be de-activated by the computer.
So you will have normal braking function but no anti lock function on your brakes to prevent wheel lock up under hard braking and no traction control system to assist you when a tire or tires begin to lose grip on the road surface.

You need to have the ABS system scanned for fault codes which will help identify which component has caused the problem with the system. Frequently the cause is a failed wheel speed sensor or sensors which are needed for both the ABS and TC systems to operate and it is possibly that issue in your case also. Or there could be an issue with the wiring but there are numerous possible causes. You won't know until the diagnostics are carried out properly. For this issue I would take the car to a GM dealer service center. They have the correct scan tools to diagnose ABS and TC problems and will have seen many others with the same fault appearing.

In the mean time your car is perfectly safe to drive but bear in mind that you will not have the ABS and TC systems to help you if you drive too hard for road and traffic conditions and get yourself into trouble.

The ABS light just came on today on the dash of my 1997 Buick LeSabre. No other lights are on. What could be the problem?

Wheel Speed Sensor-- is the most common. Check for codes and follow a diagnostic tree or chart to a successful conclusion.

The ABS light and Traction Control Off Light just came on. What does this mean?

It means that the ABS has set a Diagnostic Trouble Code and Turned the TC off!! The TC is directly associated with the ABS. You'll need to take it to a Dealer or Qualified Automotive Service Center!

Abs light is on in my chrysler sebring display

I woudl say either A) the sensor on the wheel is bad, or B) the unit needs service. Refer to a reliable auto center for inspection.
abs is anti-lock braking sytem.

What does the dash light with atriangle mean and the abs one

the triangle is a severe caution and the abs has to do with your anti lock braking system. what this means is not that your brakes will not work but the system that prevents the brakes from locking when applied heavy is deactivated. so basically you will be brakeing like a car with no abs. this should be looked at soon just for safety reasons if you are depending on the abs but does not mean you can not not drive the car safely just with added caution. this should also be addressed by someone who KNOWS bmws and KNOWS abs systems. this could work out to be a very simple fix. cheers

it means something that the traction/abs system uses to sense wheel slip has malfunctioned. Possibly a speed sensor or the traction pump. You need to get it scanned to see what code is in system.

2003 pontiac grandam gt. what does it mean if your abs light ,serv. vehicle soon and track off light are all on?

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the Check Engine, Service Engine Soon, ABS Or TC lights to tell you that there is a problem and you should have the car diagnosed and repaired. I would take it to a service center you trust and let then come up with a solution. Sometimes a problem in one system will turn the light on for other systems that communicate with it, but it doesn't mean there is a problem in all of the systems.

Anti Lock (ABS)

When the ABS light is on and stays on when driving means the vehicles computer has sensed a problem in the anti lock brake system and has shut off the system until it's repaired. You could have a problem with one of the wheel speed sensor, a bad connection or the ABS pump, you will need to take it to a service center and have the system tested.
