I have a 1998 eclipse , 2.0 non turbo. I changed the water pump and put on a new head gasket . Now it will not start the crank is slow? What is the problem ? I have aligned all the timing marks according specification. I am at a loss please help.

The mechanic who did the work may have gotten coolant on the drive belts or not sufficiently adjusted the belt tension . I'd replace the belt especially if the sides of the belt are shiny.

The two outside pistons do not fire on my 99 eclipse. it has the 2.0L non-turbo.

1 and 4 fire on the same time ,but if gasket gone then this would cause problems take the head off and stop messing around
