Understand the grounding problem re; dash lights flickering, needles jumping wildly, but what is the b pillar???? Obviously not a mechanic

The "B" pillar is the term used by the manufacturer for the front pillar where the windshield is attached. Most of the dash's components ground at the "B" pillar, driver or passenger.

My dash board flickers off and on and eventually stays off for a while and then it flickers on and off again. I was told the dash is going out, but does this have to do anything with the gas needle not...

It will cost you $1400 for dealer to fix it.
The problem is on your dash. You need take out the dash. and change 3 capacitors on your dash board. If you are handyman, you will spend about 1 hour to fix it.
Good Luck

Dash lights don't work

You obviously have a short in the wiring behind the dash. Naturally, you will want to take that into a shop, or, if you're good with wiring, repair it yourself. You may want to check your fuse box as well. It's likely that the short you had before with your temp control caused the fuse that controls the rest of your lights to pop. It could be a simple fix with a small amount of electrical tape. Getting the dash off an intergra is no simple feat though. Best of luck. I hope this helps you.
