Are you sure its loose
you must retain the water pump pulley with special wrench then use the fan nut wrech to loosen
hard to start once started comes off fairly easy
2nd method use a long and heavy duty chisel hit nut on edged to start works for me
to get started then use fan blade to turn off

If you replaced the plug, wire and cap then it's either gona be the intake gasket seeping or a bad valve. Gasket more than likely I'd say bc the vortec motors are really bad about leaking or blowing the lower intake gaskets

Why does my '93 chevy suburban over heat while idle

I would check the clutch fan or (radiator fan), try this when the truck is cold the fan should spin free and when it is warm the fan should stiffen up. the fan should spin slower when cold and faster when warm.

How do I remove the fan assembly from the water pump on a 2003 chevy suburban?

You'll need a clutch fan wrench. It's a thin, large open end wrench that is available at most part stores. Place the tool over the large bolt that holds the clutch fan to the water pump and give it a quick hit similating an impact gun. You may have to do this a couple of times, but the clutch fan will come loose and simply unscrew it.

Air bags

There are nuts on the back of the steering wheel for the driver side, they are in holes sunk down in there, the passenger side is retained buy nuts behind the air bag, you may have to remove the glove box liner to get at these nuts.
