Hi this is the fuseable link for the main power supply these can be purchased new from any decent auto shop. This is designed to protect the car from power surges etc and is a saftey feature. It controlls relays and power supply to quite a few things and the most common cause of a blowage is a bare wire or faulty heater or stereo unit, other causes can be incorrect battery install or relays just failing

This is the way to wire the engine. The top is the firing order, and the other numbers are your plug locations.
1 is the first cylinder on the driver side toward the front. Odd's on the drivers side rolling back then evens on the passenger side front rolling back to the cab.

I keep getting a blown fuse belonging to the left side rear and side lights. The fuse should be 10AMP. I have tried 15 AMP and 20AMP fuses and those also blew. Any ideas? By the way, this car is a...

First put the required fuse dont go up you do more damage, For a fuse to blow you left rear side light and side light has shorted out to ground. left side rear light look at the wire are there any exposed, If no go to the side light inspect the wire are the exposed, if you see any repair it, Now if fuses keep blowing go the lamp belonging to that fuse and pull the bulb out with the bulb out an fuse installed twist the socket one at a time did the fuse blow,if it did you found the source, more than likely you ll need a bulb socket, as long as the wire are in good shape . Remeber correct fuses,No foil No nails No other Range just the required fuse

I replaced the resistor box and 2 green and one blue wire. all i got was a spark no blower and a blown 40 amp fuse help 2000 jeep grand cherokee limited

Either something was mis-wired, or you have a shorted blower motor or a cut in the wire insulation that is shorting to ground. I'm amazed that a 40 Amp fuse is used for the blower motor - that is a lot of current for a motor that size. (13.6 Volts times 40 Amps is 544 Watts for a fan?! There must be some other stuff on that circuit or somebody put in an oversized fuse.)

So i just put a new sound system in my 2000 nissan xterra and everything went good untill later today my speedomoter lights wouldent turn on... i dont know what to do i checked the fuse box but i cant seem...

this is because the connection for the system might hav not properly insulated.
1.check weather the speedo meter wire and sound system wire are both touching.
2. if that is the case try insulating it properly.
3. and check the fuse also there may be some blown out due to short circuiting.

Everytime I turn light switch on the running light fuse blows

Replace the fuse with a flasher and test light. Then disconnect wires one at a time, that go to the different running lights, in order to find out which one is shorting out to ground. There should be 2 wires to the fuse at least, with one for the front and one for the back. When you unplug the short, the flashing test light will go out. Then try to narrow it down from side to side. Etc. Look expecially where there had been any accident damage, where a wire could have been pinched and the insulation cut. look where wires have to go through holes in sheet metal, where sharp edges can cut insulation.

A/C Gets cold when Idle, but blows warm/hot air when on Interstate

Check the #7 (10 amp) fuse iside the dash. If it is blown, replace it. If A/C starts working but blows fuse again, you have a wire with the insulation worn off. The white wire that comes down in front of the oil pan. Good luck!

Rear defrost not working on 2000 legacy gt, fuses are good, light comes on on switch. Any ideas?

If it is a wagon the wiring goes bad back at the gate. If not you need to check the voltage on both sides of the grid and work back till voltage is found.

Where is use for radio on a 2000 alero

Turn off the car before pulling out a fuse. Find the two fuse boxes in the passenger compartment of your Oldsmobile Alero. One is on the driver's side and the other is on the passenger's side of the instrument panel.
Consult your owner's manual to find the location of the fuse you need to change. You can also find this information on the inside of the fuse box cover.

Locate the blown fuse. If it's a radio fuse in a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero, you'd find it in the slot marked "Radio Batt" in the fuse box on the passenger's side. Use the fuse puller inside of the fuse box to remove the fuse.

Check the inside wire of the fuse. A blown fuse has a burned or broken wire.

Put in a new fuse with the same rating. Verify the fuse rating against what's listed on the fuse box or owner's manual for the particular model and year in question. Click it into place and close the fuse cover. Restart you car and verify you've corrected the problem.

If the radio calls for a code: If you bought the car new then there should be writen in the manual the code for the theft lock system on the radio. Pre-owned then it might ,might not be in there. or if you don't have one at all.
Go to your nearest GM dealer and have them fix it by finding the code using the Vin #. Make sure to have them write it down for you in case this happens again.

Good luck and hope this helps
