Question about 1999 Toyota Camry Solara

Rear tail light does not work. I change a blown out fuse and changed the bulb which was good. The stop light, rear turn signals and back-up lights work. Where else shold I check?

Not yet. The left front side marker light assembly was replaced two weeks ago. I believe this may have something to do with the fuses continuously blowing out. Need to purchase more 10A fuses to see if adjustments to side marker works.

Check the wiring. You may have a hot wire that has bad insulation causing a short circuit. If you keep blowing fuses that is a good indicator of a bad hot wire. Also there are seperate fuses for the tail lights and the stop lights even though they are they same bulb with two different filaments. Post back any other symptoms you may come accross. Thank you for the question.

Also if it is only one light and the bulbs, wiring, fuses and relays are good it could be that you shorted the socket that the light plugs into.

Who replaced it. There is a short circuit. Trace all wires and connections from the bulb to the power supply. If you do that you will find the problem. I am 99% sure that that is what is happening. If out is going to be a while before you get to testing it, can you make the question as solved so it clears out of my active que. when you do that you can still contact me through the thread. Fixya keeps notifying me of the active thread. Let me know what you come up with. Thank you and have a great day!

Tail light doesnt turn on with headlights but works fine as a break light and turn signal, why?

in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem, also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

open the liftgate remove the screws holding the tail, stop, turn signal and back-up light assembly to the rear door opening. seperate the light assembly from the vehicle body. disengaging the hook holding the outer end of the light assembly to the body. swing the housing out to access the bulb holders. rotate bulb holder and remove blown out bulb. installation is the reverse of removal. hope this will help!!!

All brake lights suddenly stopped working changed bulbs park light fuse and cant find any blown fuses what else can it be

brake switch on the pedal bad.bad relay. do you have a second fuse box if so check it. look at the wiring see if it is frayed or chafed check the connections.check all the fuses not just the ones labeled brakes.switch the relay with one that you know is good like turn signal and see if the turn signal works then check brakes.use a 12 volt test light check the brake switch and probe the wires. hope this helped if not write back and i'll give you more ideas.
