If power is going to pump but pump not coming on you need to replace Fuel relay under hood in a black box. If this is not it you may have to replace the pump itself, good luck.

This is a goodie, It is getting fuel to the pump correct, But not pumping after replaced relay and the pump. If new pump is good it should be pumping, Nothing else to stop that part of the system , Have you checked your inline filter and see if for sure nothings coming from it and see how much pressure, Might just remove the line closet to the tank and turn over nd see if anything at all is coming out. . The inline filter is located on passenger side above rear wheel behind frame. . I will do some more checking tommorow to see if i can find anything else. Good luck, maybe this will tell us something on the filter.

Changed fuel pump not pumping fuel not working correctly relay good getting power second fuse for fuel pump not working one wire fuel pump in back getting weal power 97 Saturn sl2

If I understand your post correctly you have a fuse for the fuel pump that is blown or blowing. Until you resolve that issue the fuel pump probably will not get enough power to run. If it blows when you replace it the you have a wiring problem to your fuel pump. Most replacement gm fuel pumps come with a replacement plug for the fuel pump. Make sure you use it if yours did as there have been lots of problems with the wiring plug being damaged due to the high current draw of the fuel pump.

Why isn't fuel pump pumping?

fuel pump power can be controlled by the pressure regulator that signals the ECM to turn on the pump relay to power the pump
check further afield from the pump as the problem is else where

05 Chevy cobalt have no power to fuse block for fuel pump

You have no voltage at 15 amp fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse/relay center ? There is a fuel pump relay also in same under hood fuse box. The fuel pump fuse gets power from the fuel pump relay. The ( PCM ) engine computer controls that relay, gives power or ground electronically to turn the relay on giving power to the fuel pump through the fuel pump fuse. You could have a bad relay or an anti-theft system problem . What engine does you vehicle have 2.0 L or 2.2 L the 2.0 L engine gets power differently to fuel pump .

Fuel pump

the fuel pump is supplied power via the fuel pump relay. The relay gets power for the fuel pump through the ECM B fuse. This fuse also supplies power to the vehicle control module.

No power to fuel pump or pump fuse on a 1996 saturn sl1. whats up?

The fuel pump fuse gets its power from the fuel pump relay, which is located in the Instrument Panel Junction Block.

The fuel pump relay gets its ground from G102, which is located just forward of the left strut tower.

The fuel pump relay gets its power from the Powertrain Control Module Connector "C" Pin 10 ( DARK GREEN/ WHITE wire) for the primary side of the relay.

The sencondary side (the side that provides power to the fuel pump fuse) of the fuel pump relay gets its power from the IP BATT Fuse (30 Amp) HOT AT ALL TIMES in the underhood fuse block.

This should be enough information to figure out why your fuel pump is not getting power. Let me know what you find.

Car will turn over but won't start. Through the

No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.--------- To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.-------- The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
--------
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
----------- If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Not getting fuel to the carburator. I have poured fuel on the carburator and it started, then it shut down. The fuel pump was replaced about 2 years ago..

check fuel pump relay on firewall passenger side if it has power and power when the key is turned on will click test power through relay to fuel pump disconnect connector at fuel tank make sure you have a good ground test for power at sending unit when key is os or in start if power the sending unit has rotten corroded wire going to fuel pump you will have to remove the fuel tank test power right at the pump if there is no power replace sending unit if power a pump use teslight one end on ground terminal and other lead on power terminal at pump if you have power replace the pump

if this is helpful plz leave a comment like and if you need more help ask once you eliminate pump good luck

1997 Ford F150 Electric Fuel Pump will npt pump

Did you check the fuel inertia switch in the passenger side kick panel ?

The fuel pump is powered :
the fuse to the fuel pump relay.
The fuel pump relay to the fuel inertia switch
The fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump itself.

At the fuel inertia switch in the kick panel, power from the relay is the Dark Green w/ Yellow stripe wire and the pink w/ black stripe wire is the power. from the fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump.

If you jumper the fuel pump relay, you should hear it run. If not pull the fuel pump relay, and check the pins in the relay socket, pin 30 should be the power from the fuse.

If you have power at pin #30, jumper the relay socket as shown with the red line above, and check the dark green w/ yellow stripe wire at the fuel inertia switch for power.
Press the button on the top of the fuel inertia switch, and check for power leaving the fuel inertia switch on the pink w/ black stripe wire.

This is tests good, check for power at the fuel pump, same pink w/ black stripe wire.
Fuel inertia switch info is in the owners manual, If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :
