Your fuel filter is located under the hood, center, rear engine area, passenger side of master cylinder, mounted on firewall. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Silver cloud mspa, keep getting E1error code then it turns off,iv got new filter in place & dont know what the problem is,please help.....

Be sure that the fuel filter is properly installed. A tiny leak on the side toward the tank can cause this. I have also seen one case where a user replaced the filter without getting the flare nut unstuck, so that he twisted the fuel line enough to restrict the fuel flow. Putting the filter on backwards can also cause this.

Fuel pump doesn't start up.

Procedure

1.) Turn off the Air Suspension switch located in the trunk on the passenger side. This is very important as you may damage the air bags if you don't.
2.) Jack the car up and place on jack stands. I kept the jack under the frame as a "back-up" in case the stands fail. The Fuel Filter is located below the drivers side, passenger door.
3.) Take out the Fuel Filter you bought and look at the body. It is a fairly large filter. There is an arrow on it pointing to one side that says "flow" point that towards the engine when you install it. Also notice there are two black plastic caps on either end of the filter. Do not throw these away as you will need them to plug the old filter to keep any existing fuel inside.
here are two clips that come with the filter, do not toss these away as you will need them.
4.) You need to de-pressurize the fuel line. Follow the instructions in your Haynes Manual. One way to do this is to unplug the "Fuel Pump Shut-off Switch" located in the trunk of the car next to the trunk hinge on the drivers side (Pic. 1) There are two small bolts holding them onto the support. Un-bolt it and disconnect the wiring.
Try to start the vehicle. If it starts, allow the engine to run until it quits, if it doesn't start, keep turning the key for a good five minutes. This will de-pressurize the system for you.
5.) Crawl underneath the car and you will see where the Fuel Filter hangs inside the Filter bracket. (See photo below) It should look old and crummy.
6.) With your screw driver, un-tighten the metal adjustable band that holds the filter inside the bracket. You can see it on the left in Pic 5. Take the screwdriver and pry out the existing plastic clips (Pic 4) that is holding the filter onto the fuel line. Be careful not to break the fuel hose housing. It may take a few minutes of wriggling the old ones out as you can see from Pic 4 that there are teeth holding the plastic clips in.
7.) Have some old newspapers or shop towels on the ground to soak up any existing fuel in the filter.
8.) Take the old black filter covers off the new filter(Pic. 3) and use them to plug the old filter. This should stop any fuel from escaping..
9.) Installation is in reverse order. There is only one way the fuel filter will fit in the filter bracket, so if it is giving you some trouble look at where the flow arrow is at, and point that towards the engine.

Where is the fuel filter

The fuel filter is mounted on top of the fuel tank by 1 10 mm bolt. Remove this bolt (Spray some WD-40 on it first, so it won't break on removal). Then, squeeze together the plastic tabs at the ends of the fuel lines and pull the line(s) off. REMEMBER, THE FUEL IS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE AND WILL SPRAY WHEN YOU REMOVE THE LINES!!! KEEP ALL DROP LIGHTS AWAY FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE!!! You'll loose a couple cups full of fuel, be prepared!!. Also, when installing the new filter, put some motor oil on the lines prior to sliding the new fuel lines into place. This will prevent damage to the O-ring(s) in the new filter lines. Make sure the plastic tabs "snap" into place, try pulling on the filter line to make sure the clip(s) are engaged. And as Curious stated, you'll need to know the wheelbase of your van to get the proper filter.

Where is the in-line fuel filter on a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe located.

I am not familiar with that model, but it dosen't sound like a fuel filter to me .
If it runs good after you get it started, the filter is probably ok,i don't know where it is located on that model, but it sounds like you have already found the problem (low fuel pressure) check for leaks, make sure the lines are on the right places on tank .Whatever is causing low fuel pressure is probably the solution.
hope this helps!

Fuelfilter try to change fuelfilter and wont come

ou need a special tool to remove the fuel lines on your vehicle. Fortunately Ford had the wisdom to provide it to you. Here's how to do it.

Removal:
Warning: because of the combustion characteristics of gasoline, always use extreme care when removing and installing any fuel system component or personal injury or damage to the vehicle may occur.

  1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure.
  2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  3. Remove push connect fittings at both ends of the fuel filter. NOTE: To remove 5/16" push-connect fittings, use Fuel Line Removal Tool T90T-9550-B or tool supplied on vehicle. Tool is located 254 mm (10 in.) behind fuel filter. Place in glove compartment after use.
  4. Install new retainer clips in each connect fitting.
  5. Remove fuel filter by pulling fuel filter toward center line of vehicle and free from fuel filter bracket. NOTE: The flow arrow direction should be positioned forward and downward to make sure of proper fuel flow through replacement fuel filter.

Installation:

  1. Install fuel filter in fuel filter bracket, ensuring proper direction of flow.
  2. Install push connect fittings at both ends of fuel filter.
  3. Lower vehicle.
  4. Start engine and inspect for leaks.

I need the location on where the fuel filter is located on a 1998 dodge caravan sport 3.3L flex fuel.

I believe the fuel filter is under the vehicle and over the fuel tank. You'll have to drop the tank to access the filter. Loosen the nut on both ends of the filter and gently seperate. Replace new filter and retighten the nuts. Secure the tank back.

Put a jack (for a flat tire) under the fuel tank, so you could control how far it dropped. Then remove the two screws that hold the fuel tank straps. The screws come out, the fuel tank is loose, lower the tank by lowering the jack. Now it is easy to reach the filter. One screw holds it in place. Unscrew it, it comes right out. The tricky part is figuring out how to unplug the fuel lines. Look at the replacement filter, note how the plastic piece inside each fuel line has to be squeezed to remove it. You need to squeeze the old ones the same way to release them. It isn't easy. Squeeze the plastic piece that is holding the hose in place until you can work it out. A few drops of gas will dribble out. The gas is NOT pressurized. Unsnap the old hoses, snap in the new ones (much easier). Screw the new filter into place. Jack the fuel tank back into place. Screw the straps back on. Clip the ground strap in place where the old one was. You're done.

Is their a fuel pump in tank of E350 7.3 diesel 1988 ford ?

my guess is there is a fuel pump in tank as there are in 95% of diesel motor vehicles. you may have just sucked out the existing fuel from the lines. the fuel pump can withstand high amounts of amperage and voltage so by hooking up wires wrong i dont think you burned up the pump but you may have wired it up wrongly, or you have forgot to put the o rings back inthe housing properly. or drop on in tank. check the fel system setup. Orings in place, wiring connected properly. if all else fails give the pump a hit and see if it will start.
