1998 jeep cherokee sport front end clunk when turning left

This could be almost any front end part, these Cherokees have front end problems that will drive anyone crazy, even techs .
Take a look at front end components, check for any broken sway bar link ends, these sometimes break and make noise when turning or going over a bump, they hit other components due to being broken.
The first thing is to check the front end. there are upper and lower are bushings that wear out, these are tough to check, you will need to really take a good look at them for wear. the next thing is the track bar, this is also hard to check due to the force on it, but you will need to check it by watching it for movement at the joint end as someone jacks truck up and lowers it.These trucks are also famous for ball joint problems, you will need to check them. jack up one side about 4 inches off the ground and with your hands grab the top and bottom of the tire and wiggle tire hard to check for movement in ball joint, if there is play then replace them. upper and lower, if there is no play then slide bar under the tire and pull up and and down this will apply and release pressure , this will allow you to check for play in the ball joint. you will feel and see movement in ball joint, have someone watch the ball joint as you pry on tire.
this is a start, good day.

!996 Chevy Astro AWD pulls to the left when braking , I have replaced Both front calipers, rotors, and pads bled the brake lines and still it will pull to the left MOST OF THE TIME! when i least expect...

Check front end steering linkages for any play, as well as rear brakes for sticking or grabbing as well. Not unusual for a rear brake grabbing, to cause front end to want to wander.

Im having play in my front tires

Do you mean, that when it is jacked up in the front, there is play as indicated by wobbling the wheels at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions and the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions?

Or, do you mean that the steering wheel shimmies when going down the highway?

Maybe the front end should be checked for play and any parts such as ball joints, bearings, or tie rod ends should be replaced as needed.

At freeway speeds if i hit a bump the front end will start to shake and shudder untill i reduce my speed

It could be because of worn out ball joints, or steering arm bushings. When ball joints wear out, they tend to rest against one end on even pavement, but as soon as you take the load off, such as in a bump, they go "crazy" and start banging against the stops until you reduce speed. If this has been going on for a while, there should be telltale signs on the wear pattern of the front tires. If you take the vehicle to a front end alignment place, they will tell you which parts have excessive play that should be replaced before aligning the front end.

The truck is loose in the front end causing it to wander a little to much for my liking. What can be the cause. Steering wheel has some play in it as well.

A worn tie rod end
Check them for play with the wheels up in the air jacked up securely
If you can move the tire in a turning motion you can see the tie rod socket flex if worn

FRONT END HOBBLE OUT OF CONTROL WHEN HITTING ROUGH ROAD

You probably have a loose front end. Check your tie rods and ball joints, also your wheel bearings and shocks. Shocks play a major part in how the front end handles on a rough road, as do worn out springs. If you determine something is loose in the front end, fix it immediately! I always consider front end problems to be safety issues.

I have a 01 chevorlet tahoe on the highway after i hit a bump the front end and steering wheel shakes vionently left to right like something just broke is there any known problem for this to happen or is...

You don't have to bring it to the dealer, bring it to a front end specialist. ( a garage that does alignments) There rates are better and the techs there will have better understanding and experience in the front end problems and repairs. It sounds like you have what they call a death wobble and the cause is broken or worn steering parts, Common part would be the Idler arm, shocks being worn, and alignment may be off too. Good luck and hope this helps, If you have a grease gun, grease the front end components which would tighten up any play and see if the wobble goes away. If it does, then there are parts that are worn and needs to be replaced. You can crawl under the front end and push and pull on the different steering components and look and feel for any excessive plays. Keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions.

1990 chevy blazer has excesive steeringwheel play

Check the front end for bad suspension parts, Upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, pittman and idler arms, drag link. If you can move any of them by hand, they need to be replaced. Ifyour front end is tight you will have to replace the steering box.
