Question about 2001 Ford Windstar
THE HEADLIGHTS AND DOME LIGHTS AT TIMES DO NOT TURN OFF WHEN THE VAN AND LIGHT SWITCH IS TURNED OFF. WHEN I RE-START THE VAN, THEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT. ALSO NOW THE ODOMETER AND SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING, CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT WORKING EITHER NOW AS WELL. THE O/D LIGHT
HAS STARTED FLASHING. AND FINALLY THE AIR CONDITIONER DECIDED NOT TO COOL ANYMORE. THE ELECTRICAL NIGHTMARE.
The "door is locked" switch mechanism in the driver's door is not engaging when the door is closed. It is inside the door panel and right on the latch. It closes a circuot when the door is latched.
I was able to tighten the mounting on mine with some twist-wire and been right as rain for 3, 4 years now
