No just the trim face is push on (snaped in place)
intument panel just preesed straight in
have your gage failled if so
there is a TSB on certain mode years dash
(kinda gm recall) if it failled take it to them
it may be covered and they will install new cluster assembly
my 2003 sierra just got done

the plastic shroud around the cluster just pulls out as its a snap in piece. then there are screws that hold the cluster to the dash frame that need to be removed. you can pull the cluster forward enough to disconnect the electrical plugs on the back of the cluster then you can remove it.

I have a radle sound coming from inside the dash, feels like something just went lose inside. i need to remove the instrument cluster to see what could have gone lose in there - i just cant figure how to...

these are kind of tricky on the VWs as you will need to remove the steering wheel. There are a few screws and bolts that need to be removed from the bottom dash, on the drivers side, and then work your way up, after removing that there will be a series of screws on the mid column of the dash, and a few behind the blanks that need to be popped out. by this point you will see the screws that are under the upper portion of the cluster trim and the 2 that are on the bottom. after these are removed you will see the screws for removing the cluster. Also you will need a 26mm socket to remove the steering wheel.

2002 Buick La Sabre. Some of the inst. cluster bulbs not light

Hello manderfield, The bulbs are replaceable but it requires complete disassembly of your cluster and above average soldering and de-soldering skills. The cluster removal process requires removing the trim molding that surrounds the cluster. There are several screws along the bottom and sides of the trim that you will need to remove before un-snapping the main section. You can lower the tilt steering wheel and place you transmission in low gear to help provide room for the trim and cluster removal. Thanks Mike www.kincerservice.com

How do you change dashboard lights in a 2003 toyota tacoma

You need to remove the instrument cluster assembly. You have to remove the cover on the steering column, and then the fascia, in front of the cluster. Next, remove the 4 screws that holds the cluster to the dash. Pull the cluster out, and remove the witing connectors. The bulbs are accessible from the back of the cluster. The bulb replacement can not be done 'from under the dash'.

How to change lighbulbs behind the panel board of 1998 Toyota Corolla?

Using a short phillips screwdriver, remove the 3 screws that holds the fascia over the plastic inst panel lens. Pull this fascia towards you, and remove it from the dash. With the fascia out of the way, you will see 4 screws holding the instrument cluster to the instrument panel. Remove the 4 screws. Pull the instrument pod towards you, and, working behind the pod, disengage all of the wire connectors behind the pod. When all of the wire connectors are removed, take the pod from the dash, and look at the back side; the bulbs are accessible there. The bulbs are not special; hope this helps, and THANK YOU for choosing FixYA!
