Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
The best kind of car is the paid-for kind...brand has very little to do with it these days. There are all kinds of things that can cause your vehicle to start and die. A MAP Sensor could cause it. I have even seen bad ignition switches cause similar symptoms. Nobody can tell you how much it is going to cost or how much you can "expect to spend" until you find out what is causing it...that's what the diagnostics is for. As far as trading the vehicle in???...All I can say about that is that I can't figure the math that most people use. I have had customers tell me that they cannot afford a vehicle any longer because they had to spend $2000 dollars in the last year on repairs. Then they turn around and jump into a $450/Month car payment???? How is it they can afford $5400/year in car payments, but cannot afford $2000/year in repairs to keep their old car in good running condition? My computer just does not work that way...I don't get it.
