SOURCE: Toyota diesel hilux D4D noisy engine.just

Take the Vehicle back to the Installer/Supplier, for a Free of Charge CHECK and ADVISE under New Engine Warranty. If the OIL PRESSURE is LOW, when starting up from COLD, there is a genuine fault, so do not drive any distance.

SOURCE: engine management light comes on

P1226 - Control Sleeve Sensor Malfunction
Possible causes

  • Electric throttle control actuator (TP sensor 1 and 2)
  • When is the code detected?
  • Closed throttle position learning is not performed successfully, repeatedly
  • P1226 Description Electric Throttle Control Actuator consists of throttle control motor, acceleration pedal position sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. The throttle position sensor responds to the throttle valve movement. The throttle position sensor has the two sensors. These sensors are a kind of potentiometers which transform the throttle valve position into output voltage, and emit the voltage signal to the ECM. In addition, these sensors detect the opening and closing speed of the throttle valve and feed the voltage signals to the ECM. The ECM judges the current opening angle of the throttle valve from these signals and the ECM controls the throttle control motor to make the throttle valve opening angle properly in response to driving condition.
  • You will need to take this to a shop that performs engine repairs and let them replace this sensor or motor which ever it may be that went bad on you. The recent history of Toyota's and the out of control throttles makes this a candidate for a repair shop and not an at home repair. Safety is the number one goal of any repair. I wouldn't want this car to go screaming down the road with you in it after you tried to repair this and something goes wrong.

SOURCE: hilux d4d it starts and

there are only four possible causes for this, and you have made provisions for two-the ECU and the crank sensor-You will need to check the connector and the wiring going back to the ecu, use a ohm meter to look for a damaged or broken wire. another possible reason for this is a damaged reluctor inside the engine, turn the engine over by hand and inspect the teeth of the reluctor with the sensor removed and inspect for a damaged tooth-

Check for these 2 things, low fuel pressure under a load, and 2nd a blocked exhaust system casing excessive back pressure in the exhaust.

Hw can i fix toyota hilux d4d 3000,2006 model cannot rev over 1500 revs

There are alot of factors that could prevent the engine from revving over 1500RPM. Some sensors like the crank angle or cam angle have to be connected in order for the engine to even start, other wiring loom plugs like the turbo controller need to be connected or the car goes into limp mode and it won't rev past a certain point.

Then there are the automatic throttle controller area wiring loom type plugs near the inter cooler, sometimes people forget to put them all back and the engine won't rev high. Making sure the vacuum pipes in this area are all connected properly, one unplugged pipe, no vacuum, the injector pump relies on the vacuum system and if it doesn't work then not enough fuel delivery, engine can't rev high. Also if the fuel rail is leaking or if the fuel filter is clogged then engine won't rev high.

Toyota hilux pick up D4D has a hard start in the morning but ok after the first start, kindly advise

Have a compression test done to determine the engine condition. With the hard start and oil usage it points to a worn rings and a lower compression pressure than is required.

Engine knock & loss of power/acceleration

It appears that you have lost water and over heated the motor. The systoms you describe are what happens when an extra hot engine starts to seize the pistons in the bore. Cooling down allows the engine to restart but the noise comes from broken rings and aluminium being removed from the sides of the pistons. If you have an EFI car the cpu unit is probably limiting the engine revs just to get you to athe nearest service place.I suspect you will need a replacement engine
