If you go to and go to repair info. You will need to put in your make, model, and year. When you go to the repair guides. Go to chasis electrical and lookup wiring diagrams. You will find it there. IF you need any help determining the color codes or what you are lookin at. I have 2 shop manuals. A Chiltons and Hayes manual. I would be glad to assist you.

SOURCE: Vent window repair.

To replace the window seal, you first have to remove the vent window assembly from the door. After it is removed, the nut and spring on the bottom of the window has to be removed. Then remove the glass and frame from the vent assembly frame. Then gently remove the rubber off of the frame and install the new one after you replace the top vent bar seals. Reverse the window removal procedures to reinstall the glass and frame. The top vent bar seals requires a special tool to remove and replace the rivets you get with the replacement seal. You need to replace the top vent bar seal before reinstalling the new vent window rubber. When I replaced my top vent seals, it was fairly easy with my removal/installation tool.

SOURCE: 1987 mustang ac problem

What you can do first is locate the accumulator. This is located in the low side hose near the firewall. Looks like a big canister with a hose out each side at the top. There is also a switch between the hoses. (example would be one hose at six oclock the other hose at twelve oclock and the switch at three oclock.) Unplug the switch and using a paperclip jump together the two wires in the connector you just unplugged. Do this with engine running and a/c on. If when jumped the compressor kicks on then your a/c is low on freon and needs to be charged after fixing the leak. Hope this is helpful.

1987 mustang GT convertible windows do not move up and down smoothly. also when removing the drivers side panal the switchs stop working except for the door lock switch.

Get a can of spray Silicone and spray the channels that the glass runs in, soak it good and then operate the windows to distribute the Silicone, that should help, if no then the window regulators may need to be lubed at the pivot points. DO NOT GET THE SILICONE ON THE PLASTIC TRIM PARTS, USE MASKING OF SOME SORT.

My 2000 mustang convertible lh interior door window switch insert panel has come off. End piece seems to be broken off. Top has plastic tab that snaps into door panel, but won't stay in. Is there a clip...

You need to order a new part if you're missing the parts that broke off. There's been some success using epoxy to repair but that's usually a short term fix.
The part is easy to find either at a salvage yard, eabay, or online places lie CJ Pony parts.
