Question about 2002 Toyota Sienna
Wow the kms are getting up there!
Make sure that the spark plugs are not worn and the gaps are correct.
Check the air filter for dust and clogged up with oil etc.Only clean with compressed air, blowing in reverse to dislodge the dust.If too dusty or is an oily dirt, replace the air filter.
Has the oil has been replaced in the last 10,000km.If not change it.
Put a quality fuel cleaner in the fuel tank prior to filling up.
Check that the thermostat runs the engine in the correct area on the temp gauge.too cold will cause the injectors to supply a richer mix.
Clean the PCV(positive crankcase ventilator)valve.
Perhaps clean the air mass?flow meter with a cleaner like CRC sensor or MAF cleaner.(it is the unit near the air cleaner housing that has a multiwire plug on it)If not there, clean the throttle body with a good carby cleaner.
Some worn engines put out a better test when warm, not cold or too long running.
Don't leave it idling for a long time while in test queue, shut it down and wait your turn.
I hope this helps you pass.
