Hello,

The Engine Control Module (ECM) is between $400 to $600, depending on the dealer. You can confirm the price from 3 or more dealer in order to weigh their prices.

Good luck.

Lean fuel code for 2006 toyota corolla runs rough in cold weather if you do not let it warm up. If the car is warmed up no problem, but check engine light comes on

Automatic idle control module and the valve it controls on the engine need attention. Sometimes a simple cleaning of the valve is all that's needed.

2001 toyota corolla jumped time . how expensive is it going to be to fix

If it has jumped time then the cam chain may need replacing. As to the cost that all depends on where you live and if any damage was done to the engine valve train. Only way to know for sure is to open it up.

2001 toyota corolla, theres a hole in cylinder #2

you can have the engine rebuilt but the labor cost to do something like that isn't worth it. you can get a remanufactured engine with a better warranty for cheaper. you will also need to address the reason the piston burnt through, so it does happen on new motor.....remember to vote :)

This is very common on Matrix/Corollas and is repairable by way of replacement PCM to correct invalid parameters. the labor is low but the part is very expensive.

Expect approximately $89 or less in labor, and $648 for the new PCM

The good news is the warranty is 8 years and 80,000 miles on this fault.

There is a Bulletin on this concern. The correction is a new PCM with updated software.

Need to replace Electronic Control Module (ECM)

The ECM is located under the dash, on the passenger side.
It is a silver box with 4 plug-in wiring harnesses, rioughly 8" x 5"x 2"
It may help if you remove the glove box door, in order to see it.
Hope this helps.

2001 Toyota Corolla, Burning Oil rapidly

Take your vehicle back to your mechanic, and have him perform a DRY, then a WET compression test. Please provide both readings back to me. In the meantime, ask him what it would cost you to him replace the piston rings. This is your problem. The 2 tests will simply verify me thinking.
