Question about 2004 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

I have a 2004 kia sedona and at first the heat would go back and forth in the rear, now there is no heat at all and it starts over heating as soon as it warms up, we have replaced the thermostat, and cleaned the heater core, do i need to flush it or is this a certain part?

The other problem could be the water pump if it is not circulating the water it will over heat to there are also tempature sensors on the block but if it was a problem it would set off a check engine light hopes this helps

Kia Sedona- center and third row heating vents blowing cold air

There is a separate button on the lower dash labeled RR HTR for the rear heater. If you do not engage the switch it will blow cold air.

KIA SEDONA HAS REAR HEAT BUT NOT FRONT HEAT BLOWERS WORK BUT ONLY COLD AIR COMES IN FRONT

This could be a serious problem. Check your coolant level, then check the rear heater lines that supply coolant to the rear heater. They run under the van, over time they rust and leak. Because it is under and to the rear of the van it is hard to notice, i.e. coolant puddles and smell. But please note that this engine has aluminum cylinder heads and does not take kindly to being overheated.

2005 kia sedona - no rear heat

Look on your dash on the ride side of your radio, there are 4 black squares, the botton three are usually blank, the top one says RR HTR, push that one in. If the heat does not work than join the club, mine has only blown warm heat in the last 2 years. I've had the rad flushed and all the rear lines replaced. moz-screenshot.jpg
