    it's a 3.3 not a 2.3 I was thinking more 25 ft. lbs

  • Rottweiller Apr 02, 2011

not sure never heard of a 3.3 before 3.1 and 3.4 engines sorry i can't help my gm/chev/olds manuals dont list a 3.3 news to me if it's a 3.3. an i cant guess at it sorry.the 3.4chev engine calls for 30 ft lbs for 94 an later models but every engine is different for example the 2.8 an the 3.1 chev engines call for a two stage torque step1.15ft'lbs step 2.24ft'lbs. an the 3100 engine step1. 62inch'lbs step2. 115inch'lbs.hope that helps but i would find out for sure because the torque is all different for every motor and differs year to year.

Tighten the diagonal lower intake manifold bolts (two on each end) to 7 Nm (62 lb in). Tighten the vertical lower intake manifold bolts (the four middle ones) to 13 Nm (115 lb in). Tighten the diagonal lower intake manifold bolts (two on each end) to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

Bolt torque specifications for the intake manifold on a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera s v6 3.3 liter

Hi,with the inlet manifold as long as the two serfices are clean and the gaskets are being replaced, all you need to do is tighten all the bolts all the way home, right when you feel that the bolt is fully home then tihten it another quarter of a turn, then tighten every bolt this way and there wont be a problem.
I have never used torque settings for manifolds and never in my 30 years of working on cars had a problem with water leaks from the inlet maifold.
well hope this was some use to you all the best and good luck with the rest of the work you are doing.
